Persophone & .... EVERYONE (EtM Spoiler)

I just finished playing Enter the Matrix (With both Niobe and Ghost) When you reach a certain part you get a cutscene where your character runs into Persophone and she barters another deal as she did with Neo.

Ok so we have a very old program(Persophone). That is going nuts out there kissing every fool she can get her hands on. WHy? Has it really been that long since she went on a date.... LOL...

But seriously, it has to mean something. THey don't just throw lesbian kissing scenes into console video games for fun. It does give more insite into the characters of Ghost and Niobe. (Ghost was especially interesting as we find out he has unrequited love for another (can't give EVERYTHING away!) Also, we find out more history concerning Niobe, Commander Locke, and Morpheus.

So, back to the statement I'm trying to make. A couple of points. Why all the kissing? Wasn't once enough? I've read a few threads out there discussing Persophone being the Mother of the MAtrix..... yet why would she go tramping out looking for people to kiss? Isn't there anything else to do if your the 'Goddess' of your own little Earth?

persepone is a vampire program that drains emotions from a source via a kiss.this is why she was on the path of the one.

i think u have to look at it from the programmers' view...Persephone is actually supposed to kiss 2 people-Neo and Niobe/Ghost-not all three. So 2 people isn't exactly alot...
Its also to help flesh out the story to give more life to the Avatars...also to give something for people who have seen the movie to relate to-ya know something familiar everyone can say "hey its her-and she's doing her thing all right so this should have happened somewhere..."
Finally remember that Persephone is a program who has lost all meaning in life and love and is seeking to taste them once again in the form of a kiss...kinda like Seraph wanting to know who he was talking to with the ends of his fists.
dun think so much abt it i'm sure wif the ability to play thru the same scenes with 2 different people things will get very confusing...i personally think it was jus a way to include the lovely Monica Belucci in!

They didn't put Persephone in the game just for her looks. She is in there for a reason, she has a function. Maybe she can understand the true intention of someone by kissing that person. Just like Seraph understands that Neo is the one by fighting him. Maybe Persephone wanted to know if Neo was capable of loving Trinity and sacrificing everything for her. If Neo really loves trinity he will choose the left door and not the right one. If he chooses the right door the Matrix will go on and Persephone will still be stuck in the Matrix. Maybe she wants to get out of there just like Agent Smith wanted in M1. So Persephone is willing to let the keymaker go on one condition: Neo must be capable of loving to choose the left door.

I haven't played the Matrix game yet, I still have to buy it. So I don't know why Persephone kisses Niobe (I wouldn't .:eek: ).

Hey Darkderk nice one! You jus might be on to something...still I think its a little bit far-fetched...Persephone's reasons seem more superficial and selfish to me than a big thing about the One...but I'd agree in the end that her kiss was unlikely to curse or drain them or something...she's outta have some fun!
Hee hee...as for any questions of the game I have a few relevant points (read:spoilers)...at that point where you meet her, Niobe/Ghost is trying to free Ghost/Niobe (geddit) from captivity by the Merovingian-who he/she is is not set. This happens probably as Neo was still doing his "Superman Thing"...go figure. Have fun with the game!

Division of seasons::: hmmmmm...... sweetness of spring ( neo's love for Trinity) and bitterness of winter ( Neo must scarifice love to save Zion )
