You know what I think of this MIAM crap?

First off, it would ruin the whole premise. Granted there should be a twist in the plot. But I strongly believe the Wachowskis would've anticipated us coming to such a theory. Though I do think the possibility of the "mother of the Matrix" can join the good guys and help ultimately end the Matrix and set everyone free. Don't forget, Revolutions is supposed to be THE END. As in either Neo and gang loses and the machines win or the MAtrix is destroyed along with the machines. There is no in between. Read the tagline, "Everything that has a beginning has an end."

i agree it would make a dissapointing ending and the tag line proves this

I just wish people would get it into their heads that there is no story beyond Revolutions. Whether there's another game or what not. Revolutions has been confirmed by official sources to be the climax, the end, the finale, the finish! lol

i agree kevin, MAIM, would ruin the trilogy completely.

Who says the end means the end of the Matrix?
What we do know is the beginning of the movies picks up
with Neo being found and unplugged, and not the beginning
of the Matrix. The end could be anything.

Despite what everyone thinks about how solidified the
Wachowskis were regarding a trilogy, they actually planned
for "The Matrix" to be the middle story of the trilogy (See article
on M1 DVD). Not only that, but when you read the screenplay on
the DVD, you can see how the story was modified accordingly.
This leads me to believe the Matrix will be intact, leaving the door
open for anime spin-offs, TV series, cartoons, you name it.

The trilogy will end with Neo waking up in front of his computer, taking off the headphones, shaking his head and saying, "Man, I gotta stay away from the halapeno & cheese nachos from now on." He will then terminate the search for Morpheus news items on his computer and go back to sleep.

I agree with Etaphase, the end can mean anything. However I believe the humans and machines will live together in harmony at the end. However, the matrix will still continue b/c earth doesn't have the resources to unplug a mass amount of people at one time and support them.

But then again Neo waking up at his computer desk with his head laying in a pool of his own drool would be rather amusing :D .
