They're from the Dune series. They're a Sisterhood of women. They have a breeding plan that they all follow in order to reach whatever is their goal. They are all highly trained to manipulate people and are good fighters and have acute senses and can control their metabolism. This makes it impossible to poison them. I'm on the fifth Dune book right now.

young Atradies from the House of Atradies is actually a Bene Gesserit witch male, the only one, and his little sister ROCKS. I mean I know he is a fremin now but he still mastered the Gom Jabar (sorry about the spelling haven't got my set of books in front of me). I read a few of the Dune books a couple of years back and I have to admit they are very addictive. To be honest I still need to continue the series. I'm currently kind of stuck in a William Gibson period though :D (another author I can heartedly recommend to anyone who likes cyberpunk/sci-fi books).

I started the Dune series a while ago and I'm currently on God Emperor... It's soooooooooo awesome!!!!

if were talking about the game then cool cuz i almost bet it until i found it really scratched so i never did.

Dune (all 7 of them) and the 3 more recent prequels are the all time greatest sci-fi books ever bar none - FACT.

I guess the main relevance for the matrix is that Dune is set in a future where humans have survived a war (well Jihad to be accurate) against "THINKING MACHINES" that lastest for centuries.

In Dune there are no powerful computers instead certain humans (Mentats) have developed the ability to do the high order 0/1 crunching in their heads, how sweet would that be?

Any M Fan would love Mr Herberts work, trust me check 'em out.

Oh and don't forget Frank Herbets' son, he is following in his footsteps too bless him.
