Auto filtering of "Outwar" links.

Xehirut

I'm getting rather tired of people thinking its "1337" to post Outwar links, and such like that. The suggestion I have in mind, would auto-filter Outwar links much like curse words, and it'll substitute the links for astrix like : www.******.com/&?blahblahblah.

Et cetra.

It'd make filtering these junk links a lot easier for us moderators.

Thanks.

Good call, I see no reason why you shouldn't go ahead with that. The only question I have is if the forumsystem allows for filtering in tags (between the []'s). If not then it would be just a matter of giving the name an acceptable name and it would still get through.

I agree with X. I am getting a bit tired of these irrelevent links that unfortunatly lead to either a flame war overflow or a thug account. Everyone pms me and asks me to check it out and I am like ignore it. It would be a very good idea to have a filter system for these links but like Crahan asked how would it be done?
Atari

substituting the relevant portion of the link with asterix' will break said link.

Thanks Atari ;)

I'm suprised that what I said actually made any sense.

i'm a bit confused (sorry, i only own the forum), what is a
war link or whatever you call it?

if it's a problem i can autoblock it, i just need to understand
what it is. ALSO, provide me with a thread as an example.

Essentially, it's a game that gains the player points if people click on the referral link they leave around...........There's been at least one left in the Spoon forum, and I've dealt with a few during my time as admin of DDT.

I think the post in Spoon was deleted.
