But based on this thread:
http://www.matrixreloaded.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3193
The original Matrix starts with Trinity and Cypher talking, the screen shows "Trace Program" and the date "2-18-98".
The movie ends with Neo making a phone call, the trace program is initiated and
the date reads "9-18-99"... 19 months have passed!
Beyond is placed shortly after Revolutions that means, which means the matrix still exists.
Should I see "Beyond" as just fiction or is this a viable fact to prove the ending of Revolution.
i see your point, but u must remeber, the W brothers didnt write these shorts, they gave the animators (at least thats what i think u call em) creative freedom and let them right any story based on the Matrix with only a few pointers. the writers probly copied the whole trace program/ computer thing but didnt pay much attention to the dates. instead they probly used the date that they drew the cell which was probly 2-2-03
yeah, bac has a point. :)
I posted this a while back around the whole phone booth ending to support that theory. And also this was before I realized that the Wach bros didn't write the scripts for most of the Animatrix and this particular one wasn't their script.
Here's closure to this thread.
Um i think if you watch the interviews with the animators it says the bros wrote the stories...I dont think they were given that much freedom

Thank god someone has read it properly. Thank you so much eblah2. People were saying it was re-located and it was driving me mad.
I believe that it is just fiction though. The date being a clue though relating to how long the time had passed I would say that it couldn't be the end to Revolution, unless the machines had won.

How do you know Beyobd is after Revolutions?
