Was the Matrix based on..

..an anime story? I heard somewhere that it was..weird.

Not That i know of there is the Animatrix but as far as i know that was made after the release of the film so maybe its a rumour im sure the bro's wouldnt base it on another thing they wanted original style! :D

I'm with thegreenpill on that one i mean i did hear of the animatrix but that didnt come out till after the matrix movie came out so like thegreenpill said its just prob a rumor.

From what ive read it was only the Washowski borthers who were the creators of the idea. After all the did write and direct it. There incrediably talented people.

It's been said that The Matrix takes some cues from a classic anime called GHOST IN THE SHELL. If you haven't seen it..............SEE IT. Simple as that.

The Matrix came from...an anime! They were inspired by Ghost In The Shell (good movie!), Akira, and Ninja Scroll. They liked the way they do things in anime (Wow...I didn't know this stuff before)...it was entirely shot in Sydney,Australia...there may one day be a Matrix video game...

Your local library...or Suncoast Motion Pictures (a store, generally in malls...has a lot of anime...)

Anime is a kewl thing... now it is even more kewl cuz it started the matrix. You know how many people would start watching anime because of the matrix??
