Spam e-mail

Could someone please tell me if they got lots of spam after using this sight? Usually of a pornographic nature? And how do I make it stop???

I suggest ( although I don't know how it is happening) to pass it onto a moderator asap if it happens again.

Spam can come from a variety of places, but i doubt this is one of them. This will be noted, but if no other members experience this problem then it would seem that you are getting this spam from somewhere else.

Most likely an email harvester was able to gather some email addresses from the board. These bots/programs just search the internet for anything that looks like an email address, so there's a big chance they came across this board.

I had tons of trouble with porn spam before i came here, so it's not just this site.

i can tell you for sure that I'VE NEVER EVER EVER EVER SENT
out ANY MAIL to ANY of the members. And since I own the
site, I'd know if something like this goes down.

However, if you did make your EMAIL PUBLIC (in the
USER CP settings) chances are some stupid spam crawling
bots indexed your e-mail and will send you spam.

WE NEVER EVER EVER EVER Send out spam, ESPECIALLY
PORN SPAM.

Make sure you're sure it's coming from here before you point
fingers are make further posts.

If you want to protect yourself from receiving spam, ALWAYS
set your profile not to make your email public. This way bots
can't extract it.

Once again, we NEVER spam.
