OK! In the SR part 2 the humns made that dark cloud to block out the sun becuase they thought it was the machines main source of power right?
SO! When they realized that it wasnt why didnt they reverse the plan? They should of had a back up plan in case it didnt work. It makes me ashamed to be human!

That was a last resort. And the machines did run on sunlight, That's why they converted humans to 120V batteries and created the matrix.
And I don't think there's a physical way to reverse darkening the sky which was meant to be permanent.
So why didn't they have a back up plan? The humans we're up against an enemy they knew very little about. Our Nukes didn't work and we're forced to do something. When you go to war for all of humanity, there is no backup plan. You either win or lose.
Morpheus told Neo in M1 that humans were the ones who blackened the sky- I was mad them, and seeing why they did only makes me more upset.
Then again, I guess that's the way the government thinks...

did anyone else think the humans treated the robots like crap at first?
as eblah2 already mentioned, yea, that was a war, you either win or lose. plus there was no turning back, if they didn't do that, they would all die anyway, it's better to do something than standing still. at least there'd be a chance, but in that case. it didn't work out.. that's all.
