Is final flight of the osiris relate to why Tank died?

b/c in the final flight of the osiris they try to deliver that package and they die and in enter the matrix Niobe said something like w/e was in that package must be important since tank died trying to send it to zion... or do you think tank died b/c he was weak and the blast from the nebachenezzer (sp?) to get rid of the setinals killed him...?

nothing is said about tank being killed trying to get the package, sry. Tank was not in reloaded becasue he wanted a major rase and to be listed as a co-lead.

well since tank is gone do you know what he effected to the matrix plot?

Was anything by anyone said what's happened to Tank anywhere? I didn't notice it. Shall he really simply disappear after The Matrix?

It's implied that he's dead. Per Tanks sister, Link's Wife. "I already lost Tank and Dozer in the Nebachadnezzer and I'm not about to lose another one I love to that ship." I'd say he died due to that energy blast from that big electric gun, even though he got back up and killed Cypher. That wound was pretty critical and those guns are designed to take out Machines or Sentinals.

Logic tells me he survives. The Wachowski's, because of contract disputes tells me he's dead.

didn't tank get up after killing cypher, sit down at the console where dozer previously sat and start to operate again? or am i tripping? did he then just stick around for neo to kick smith's ass, say "whew, glads that over" and then drop dead? they need to at least explain, like "yeah then tank choked on a chicken bone and died" or something. also, what i've heard is that the actor that played tank sued the brothers, along with warner for writing him out of the reloaded script after promising him a role in the sequel after m1 shooting wrapped. he didn't leave the project willingly, but i've only read one side of the story. oh yeah, and i just realized i don't really care that much. tank couldn't do any kung fu anyway...

oh yeah, he also got arrested for supposedly making threatening remarks to the wachowskis.

My son & I talked about this after we saw "Reloaded" for the 2nd time at an IMAX theatre.You know for sure he is dead because of what was stated in the beginning of "reloaded"I feel that although he's still alive when Morpheus gets back to his ship but the injuries he sustained from Cypher I think were fatal

I'm sure the blast that he recieved surely damaged him, however I am inclined to agree with eblah2 in that Links wife states she doesn't want to lose another on that ship. The guy was just a greedy bugger and wanted more money so that was the best way to write off the character.

I have to agree with UT on that. He simply was greedy so they wrote him out of the script the easiest way that they could.

Greed gets u no where!!!!!!!It was sad how he turned out because in M1 he was pretty good, but he is no where now.

Link's girlfriend NEVER says Tank and Dozer died. She says that "If Dozer knew how I felt, he wouldn't have asked you to do this." Then continued to say "I have lost two brothers to that ship, I don't want to lose you." This leaves room for Tank to return in Revolutions (Though, I doubt it..).
For the sake of argument, there could have been a third brother that was lost before or after the events of the original Matrix.

He never died in the matrix, he could even enter, he was killed by REAL WORLD!!! ( $$$ )
