Am I dreaming?

The concept of reality vs. fantasy is extremely boderline. Love the idea and have come to question what is real?

I've tried to define real in a logics class back in high
school a long time ago.

it has so many meanings... needless to say, i never
defined it to a point where i was satisfied with the
result.

Real... real is a concept... a concept that each person can only define for themselves... Real is seeing, believing and thinking as well as feeling.. Real is different to each person because the mind allows many things to be real... So "Real" is going to differ for someone who is paranoid or has hallucinations... "Real" is something you and you alone can decide upon... So what is Real to you?

Well, for some reason I am stuck. I am a (what most people would call a DAYDREAMER) I never know where to put limitations on my reality and my so-called dreaming. I feel things when I am dreaming as well as if I was awake. I awaken with bruises if I am dreaming of fighting and awaken with tears with I am dreaming of hurtful situations. I cannot go by dictionary definitions of reality.

I didnt say define real in a dictionary... I said its defined by each person... if you are dreaming and you know it then that wasnt real... but the bruises you got from that dream are real... But if a person is mentally ill for example...his or her ideas and thoughts of real are going to differ from yours and maybe even mine. Same as some people think aliens are real... who is to say they are wrong... I may agree its real where you may not... so "Real" is just that... what you think, feel or define as real to yourself... :)

My impression of what is real is anything completely physical, like a table or chair or this computer...it's something you can see, taste, touch...something you can hold in your hands...to me, that is what is real...except that objects in the Matrix don't count as being real, I don't know how to explain that part, but the Matrix isn't real, so everything physical in it isn't real either...lol I'm not making any sense, but that's my impression of reality :)
