How can a city like Zion.. underground near the earths core.. how so we survive down there... how can we control our Crops.. and Livestock of animals... Fish... reptiles.. and what not.. don't we need the sun from the surface to survive.. and Grow our fruits and veggies.. animals need veggies for us to eat them.. so they need it also.. and what about fish.. anyways... u get the idea..
not to mention closer to the core.. the possibility of volcanoes..
remember the sludge they ate on the ship? fresh fruits and veggies probably havent been seen in generations and are no longer necessary...
But I didn't only mean the food part.. i guess I said alot about that.. but like the everyday life.. whats the lifestyle.. and the possibility of actually living underground near the earths core.. knowing how unstable the earth can be..
Well with any kind of luck we may get some of those answers in the next 2 movies... as they are said to be spending quite a bit of time in Zion in these movies!
also remember that humans blocked out the sun in an attemp to control A.I. so they would have had to of come up with a way to survive without the sun.
first off, they have their very own thermo nuclear enrgy tap down there. Second the closer to the suface you are the more unstable it is, even though it is still hardening and shifting whithin the thermal plates. Maybee Zion lies within a hardened place away inside were it is more stable. We could go on about biospheres but I think they haven't got food.
I believe they eat the synthesized sludge like on NebacaneZa
They have a Geo core down there they don't need sunlight .
Machines and humans changed our world together... we do not have the knowledge to talk about humans lifestyle at Zion, we do not know how was the Earth reacting about these problems...
The food is only a "junk" with the proteins that a human needs to survive... we´re going to check it out in this second movie, because in the first one we did not see Zion... now it´s going to take place...
we can still thoerise about what Zion must be like though.
Zion it's the last human city and that is because the world on that times belong's to the machines, and where are the humans, well I think than they are on the center of earth because its the only warm place than they have.
guys, in the real world, the year is somewhere around 2100 something. by then i think we humans will have enough technology to live even on Mars and Titan.
"You believe it is the year 1999, when it is really closer to the year 2199."
Morpheus goes on to say they don't know the exact date because they only have bits and pieces of information. So it's a lot closer to 2200, than the 2100 that you said.
remember my freind this is far in the future and the technology is far more advanced than ours now so im sure they figured out a way to fo it i mean they can already grow plants without sunlight.
Neo
Don't know if this helps, but...
I have a friend of mine who conducted an experment with plants and sunlight. He took two plants and put them in a completely dark area in the attic. One was left alone, while the other had a copper plate in the top that was linke by copper wire to a copper plate on the roof. What he wanted to see was if there was any form of energy that plants used other than standard spectrums of light. The copper connected plant did grow more than the other plant, though it was lacking in chlorophyll. I don't remember how far he carried it out, but basically something else other than direct sunlight (or any form of visible light) was feeding the plant. His idea was that the copper was charged by light photons and then they were expelled on the unexposed surfaces. As what we never found out exactly, but there definately could be some way for plants to grow without sunlight.
Hello,
As said before it's closer to the year 2199 and who knows what else humans will be capable of. Does anyone think the machines would be interested in exploring the galaxy???
I purchased the Time Magazine issue which featured extensive coverage of the Matrix Reloaded and its plot. In one section, they interview the costume designer, and she says that everything in Zion is grown hydroponically. Apparently this was part of the script but landed on the cutting room floor. Check it out at Time's website. The reason it is mentioned is that they wanted to make the point that no synethetic clothing materials exist in Zion - nothing machine-made. They use hydroponically grown vegetable and plant materials that are woven into cloth. Therefore I would find it safe to assume they also grow their crops this way. And having eaten hydroponically grown strawberries before, I can honestly say they are of an extremely better quality than their traditionally grown counterparts. Hydroponics would be ideal in Zion becuase it eliminates problems with space. Hope this helps. :)
Oh and I think they just eat that sludge on the ships because it's easy to preserve and serve. Again, maximum utilization of space.
wonder wat the weathers like-iss there weather?
