the end??????

AnagraM

guys, have anyone of you wondered how the story will ultimately end as a movie in revolutions? its not possible for the entire human race to wake up and start living in a world where there is no sunlight and the major source of energy is deep down near the earth's crust. this satement "we need the machines and they need us" has been mentioned a lot of times in the movies. plus in one of the animatrix stories, there was a line somewhere that said, that not all machines are against humans, not all are bad. plus the councillor says a lot about how"some machines have the power to give life and otehrs to kill".
i think the movie will end with a settlement and declaraton of peace and understanding between the machines and the humans. many humans will continue to live in the matrix and many more will be awaken. but the war will definately end, there will be no more fighting and oppression between machines and humans. this is the only way harmony will be achieved. i think. or maybe not. who knows!

If you get the Animatrix, you will find out why the machines hate the humans and it really makes you think, why? It's actually more the humans fault than it is the machines.

I'm not sure what to think, but with the present knowledge that I have now, I believe the humans lose.

Why, you ask? The Matrix Online.

This game is coming out next year and picks up just where Revolutions left off. On top of this the game is set totally within the Matrix.

Considering this, the only reasonable explanation is that the humans lose, the Matrix is rebooted, and the 7th version is started. If the humans won, there would be no Matrix after Revolutions. If they formed some sort of alliance, then there would still be no need for the Matrix (unless the humans wish for it to stick around so they can have some fun every now and then :)).

Nobody, anywhere, in the world, would be dumb enough to invest 300 million dollars into telling the back ground story of the game you're gonna be playing next year. The game may be a spinoff from the end of the movie, but believe me, the movie is FAR GREATER the influence on the end than the game afterwards.

I definitely think there will be humans that stay in the matrix. Perhaps they will choose to. Where the heck else will power come from?
Crash_Reaver

Do you think the machines would agree to a peace treaty between them and humans ? I mean, they have the upper hand ( at least for the time being ;) ) and they way they were treated by the human kind 200 years earlier. (if you watched the animatrix, I am talking about the renessance 1 & 2 )
I don't think they would agree to a treaty... besides, if the machines let go the humans from the matrix, and co-exist with them, then where the hell are they gonna get their energy ?

Of course the film is going to have more impact than the game that comes afterwards... especially since the idea of the game was conceived after the movies began filming. My point is just that seeing how the game is supposed pick up where the movies left off, then you have to consider the fact that the Matrix will endure. After all, even if the game just loosely follows the story, the Matrix still being around after Revolutions is a bit too big to just make up out of the blue...
Rodion

That you're absolutely right about, I just thought the good guy's losing setting up the game was a BIG stretch. No doubt the goodguy's will win in Revolutions, but there will be enough room in the victory to have the game afterwards be plausible more than likely.
DigitalWolf444

Are you sure that the 2004 game is set after revolutions, what if it is a prequel game or something? (More for my reference than anything else).
