am i really a matrix freak?

you see, i study at the universuty of port elizabeth and there are some wise remarks being said about me and the rest of you guys surfing this website! i'm wondering is there any sustanance in what we do! so tell me am i the only one being treated so funny or do you guys getit as well! and what would be a reply that would kickass!

I was talking to some friends about the movie and
many told me that Matrix was not a top film for them.
I think that they did not realize as me the questions that
we can make connecting the film and our own lives.
We can show them the door, but we cannot pass it for them.

We, matrix fans as we are, are very fanatic about this movie. Other people might think that it's 'just another movie'. But we as fans think that there is a thruth in this movie. I think we interpret the movie better than the non fans. Otherwise this forum wouldn't be :D.

Everybody is passionate about something... and for most people here its the matrix among other things... we choose to somewhat 'study' (and i use that term lightly) the film and find out the deeper meanings and such... all because we can!

I like Matrix, and I think about all possible things.. Is there a Matrix? And so on! But I don't call myself a 'fan'..
I know so many movies, and in every second one there are points we can compare with this world and our lives. It isn't that difficult..

"Lola rennt" ('Run Lola Run' i think), or "13th floor"... just 2 of... 100000?!

I think... some people like the possibility that there is another world which is the real reality, and other people aren't interestet in this or can't really compare or interpret it, but I don't think that just because people aren't interested in this movie, they are stupid. Okay, maybe there are some who can't understand it, but not many!

The reason people cannot understand the obsessin with the Matrix is because it forces you to crawl inside you own mind and challenge all the things you were taught to believe. I know a lot of people who won't even watch the movie because they think it goes against their Christian beliefs. I just allows us to consider a different truth and since trust is personal some people take deeper than others.
