Quick reply

Any chance you can add in quick reply boxes? It's a very simple thing to do I can even tell you what to add to which template.

wat r quick reply boxes...but i thinkthe site could use a reply speed boost kinda thing if thats wat u mean

a quick reply box, is a Subject Text Box, and a Message text box at the bottom of every thread that lets you post a reply to that thread without having to click on the reply button. it's a quick way to just reply with none of the extra options that the Reply button gives you.

It's very usefull and very easy to do. I do custom vbulletin hacks for several other boards and could talk you through adding a quick reply box here. It's very simple really and only requires the modification of a single template on the admin control panel. If you're interested just email me at asdemeladen@msn.com

Not all VB themes have the ability to have Quick Reply boxes, and I believe that the owner of this site, wants to keep them off of this site because of the fact they make it VERY easy to spam the board over and over and over again, without much effort.

I will talk to the owner and see what I can do.. there are no promises on this though.

So what happened?Did it get rejected??

Three things...

1. How do you change your font colour?
2. Don't bother putting them on if it means people can spam over and over (to their hearts content).
3. Do you mean quick reply boxes as in the the ones on this site and the ones on MSN Messenger (When you go to talk to someone).

Nope.

Quick Reply is a extra thing in the thread page.

Even in the reply page you can give up some
subject and your message. Then you press
the submit reply button.

It doesn't go like MSN chat and bang!
In the QR you have no smilies! And no
poll options.

It is much quicker for people with 56K and
easier to use.

If they want to use smilies you press the normal
button with Reply!

So we can axpect a quick reply box?

1. I think you put in a [ color = colorname ] tag in your post, without the spaces of course like this

2. I agree

3. Not just like instant messages, but very similar. It would make the forum somewhat chatroomish, but once again, that would open it up to pointless (or not so pointless) conversation that could be handled in PMs, or instant messaging programs.

1. Yes you can use colors.

2. Fine

3. Everything will go on the same way. Only you don't have to load the reply page. It is just faster. The forum i had had a QR too. I never had pointless replies!

Think about it... its use full!

Quick Reply boxes stink...And Yakov and maybe other people pay money to REPLY, not QUICK Reply.
