So how do you "escape" from the Matrix?

I always wondered how this is done.

How can you wake up a mind that's been living in
the Matrix, as they did with Neo?

I believe what you could do is send a kind of power serge to the body forcing things to actually movein the real world then the brain realizes that it has other points and wakes the person up.
But if they are not ready to be freed then the serge will just kill them

It think its that they momentarily cut u off, like hack into a mainframe of some sort and then quickly regain you, which would make u wake up, but either way its a good question

I had said in another post that I think Neo disappeared fromthe matrix when the mirror got him. I think the pill, which was a tracer program, allowed them to get a physical locatin of his meat body, but I think it may also have allowed him to escape the way Morpheus and everyone else did (via phonelines to the meat). His heart seemed to be having some problems (defib?) The hearts seem to stop when they are unplugged early (didn't switch get a flatline when she died?). So he was probably starting to deplug before he got a line out (we're losing him). They went to their bodies int he ship, he went to his in the pod.

At least, that's what I think.

I would say that I had the genius to think of that too, but I'd be lying :P I always thought that that they just killed him, just like what happens to everybody else when they die....they just wake up, drown and get liquified...but in Neo's case, they gave him the pill, the trace program, so they were able to save him before he drowned cause they new where he was.........my explanation is way too simple though, yours makes much more sense! :D

hmmm... i like the theory of interupting brain patterns to realise that it is a 'dream state' and making the body realise itself instead of it's matrix self... or something like that...

Well, that plug connected in Neo´s head is the connection between his mind and the Matrix.
That plug has a huge effect in the brain - we do not know how.
The operator just have to find the right way in the brain to not allow the Matrix show it this fake world. He has to put this "way" off. So, his mind is gonna be free from Matrix and he is going to wake up in the real world, as we saw in the movie.

You know. . hmm.. I just have to wonder. . . At what point exactly do the machines insert the metal plug into the embryos, and how exactly does a person's head not grow around the thing and just suck it right into the scalp? I guess they have to be refitted as they grow. I really shouldn't think so much, or I'll stop believing in it all, huh?

If they embryo dies after the first trimester then we could put the evil computers in jail due to late term abortion.

Seriously i have no idea how it works because its a movie and something you can't quite research since it's not real. I would guess though that they send the electrical charges through his brain to make him realize whats happening such the way that the Matrix does to create a fake life?

question: didn't morpheus give everyone the pill? because obviously they all took the same one. and if so, why out of everyone was neo chosen to b the one? why wasn't trinity chosen to be the one, she seemed to have everything under control and in times saved neo's ass? its like i just dont understand...does anyone else see where im going w/this?

But I will answer you guys... I don´t know why Morpheus take
all those people before Neo, but what I know is that Neo is the One because he has the knowledge and the high mind for that.
Trinity has a high mind too, but not as Neo has! He can do what he does in the Matrix cause he he has a special ability that the others do not have...

this is true, i understand that neo is the one and has the knowledge and anticipation that neither trinity or anybody else has. i dont know i just wondered why him over trinity. but nobody will ever know. just like how the oracle knows all things but confused the hell out neo when she said that morpheus would die but he didn't...but anyhow thanx.

The pill disrupts the patterns of the world he lives in, Hence the mirror sucking him in. (halucination due to the missing information the brain fills in and then the random effect takes place and the mirror starts eating him)\

So you see it's all really simple. The matrix thought he died, So they washed the "dead body" down the tube into the dead pool, to be liquified and fed to the new borns. they just found him, that's all, The pill just makes the matrix think he's dead.

You guys didn't seriously think the rebels owned that un-hooking machinery, did you? That thing was connected to the bigger machines that the matrix controls.

So in the end, You don't escape the matrix, you trick it into thinking your dead, so it washes you out and hopefully they find you before you DO drown. (or get liquified)

It´s easy to escape from the matrix... all you have to do is DON´T wish it. You don´t have to think on that. All you have to do is DOIT. You have to use ZEN thinking. Is something like wish... without wish.

Arch, I agree with you about all of that but one thing... I always thought as Neo sits next to the mirror and Apoc is trying to locate him.. he goes into arrest... or something like it (dont recall exactly what they said was happening).. so my thought was he did infact die... but was found as you stated before he was liquified...

I think that the way to escape from the matrix. We have to discover our "real" living part. It´s hard, but we can try. All we can loose is the reality.

Morphius talked about this topic in The Matrix. He explained how there was a prophet who was the first to release the humans. This "prophet" was probably someone like Neo, with the same kind of powers and intuition of the Matrix. Its like Morphius explianed to Neo, "Its like a splinter in your mind driving you mad" This intuition is somthing that cannot be explained. The way i see is in a religious form kind like the story of Jesus, and how he led his people.

I dont think anyone from within got out by themselfs, it could be ppl from the real world that let the first ones out its either that or there was a mess up in the matrix itself....

I think the people of the real world hacked into the matrix wsystem and got the first ones unpluged.. Myabe that is why tank is so good at reading the matrix?
