Question about the laws of the matrix

I was thinking about this the other night while watching the Reloaded trailer, why can't Neo just make a gun that shoots like 105mm rounds at 1000 rounds per minute, with no recoil, and no muzzle flash? Seeing how he is the "One" and he can bend/break some rules in the matrix why can he do something like that?:confused:

I've often wondered the same thing...but I figured that if Neo was able to just shut down the Matrix that fast, where would there be a plot? It would be over so fast...plus I'm sure, eventhough we can twist the Matrix around, there must be some boundries...there are only so many things you can mess up inside a program..I think that might be why...:confused: Just a guess though! I mean Jesus wasn't able to go and heal the entire world, he had to touch them or give them special directions to follow, he had boundries too. So it kinda makes sense.

Why would Neo need a gun when he can have the floor cave in under whomever attacking it or some other crazy godlike power?

note that Neo did have control of a gun similar to the one you are talking about when he was in the helicopter shooting into the building.

Agents couldn't dodge those, which I felt they should have been able to.

i didnt say that he would "need" the gun, i was just wondering if he could make one. And that gun that Neo used in the first matrix was a M134 Minigun it has a max firing rate of 6,000 rounds per minute, and it shoots 7.62mmx51mm caliber bullets. It was made by general electric in the early 60's for use on helos. And i agree the agents should have been able to dodge the bullets somewhat.
