my theory

alex/eyesonzion

on reading a lot of the stuff, ive come up with a theory that could seem utter nonesense, or could be exactly what someone else has already said (most probably) but here goes--

basically, Neo is different to the other Ones because his power stems outside of the Matrix, as shown by him stopping the Sentinals. This is the first time he uses this power on the outside. After he is plugged into the matrix for the first time (in M1) he throws up and faints. This is the same as when he uses his power on the outside, and goes into a coma. Neo will learn to harness this power, thus being able to prevent the sentinals from destroying zion. however, with Smith being a rogue agent (forgive the pun) he has the power to control the matrix, for what is stopping him from cloning the architect, as Smith is/was a sentient programme, and thus not under the direct rule of the architect, and thus he would run the matrix and have full control, and this is why neo must fight him again, as we see in the Revolutions trailer, and morpheus says 'he fights for us'

please correct me if im wrong in parts

i do not totaly agree with all of that but you are on the right track
TheTruth16

i agree with some of it, one specific thing that i dont agree with is the part where you say that neo is different then all of the other ones because he has powers that stem outside of the matrix. i think that they all had the same powers and the ptential for more powers like neo has experienced. the difference between neo and the others is "choice" he chose the other door opening in a sence the door of more potentialfor the one to stop the machines. to press pass the original plan for the one. that or i could be wrong.
alex/eyesonzion

ok, so neo is different because he CHOOSES to harness this power
TheTruth16

in a sence
TheTruth16

all the other ones have chosen the other door ending the "job" of the one, neo on the other chose the other door and possibly fulfilling the true purpose of the one
flanish

they didnt choose. it was already chosen for them
IamMorpheus

Neo is different because he saved Trinity what the Arc said was impossible

I would like to suggest that when Neo stops the sentinals it may be possible that he and the others were fooled into beliveing that they were not in the matrix. But actually they are still inside. Neo goes through a door that the Architect suggested. It may have been a backdoor into a different matrix which looks like the outside. That is why it seems different to Neo and he is able to stop them. Just a thought.

Neo was not tricked or anything he went against what the Acr said (and he was so damn sure of himself) that there was no way to save Trinity...Hopefully hes wrong about them not meeting again...Id like to see Neo beat the living sh!t out of him :D
TheTruth16

that would be a pretty cool scene, i would like to see the arc getting pimped slaped all over the place

but neo has to make sure that he has some baby powder b/c that would just make it over the top. but since the arc created the matrix why wouldnt he be able to control neo since neo is plugged into the matrix? there always talking about control and they dont show that they have ne so who is the real controller of the matrix?
IamMorpheus

He cant control Neo no one can hes the Anomaly...
