Hey :) I can understand your curiosity...mostly all the people I talk to about the Matrix are male...they're all surprised when they found out I'm as equally obsessed!

Dawn, i am getting less and less surprised about the girl factor in regards to Matrix. It's so easy to assume that because there are a lot of explosions and killing that it's a guy flick. The women that have messaged me or talked to me about this subject feel quite strongly, they love the movie too!

Would this movie classify as a sci fi movie? I am female as said before the reason why I love it is because i love having to think about things. If everything is handed out on a sliver platter then there is no fun in it. I like to use my imagination. And with Matrix and Reloaded you definatly do that!!

My girlfriend is like me, a die hard movie fan. She and I both loved The Matrix, so when Matrix Reloaded came out, we both went, although it was on a Saturday, and the movie came out on a Thursday. So in response to your poll, I think The Matrix is a movie that has support by male and female sexes.

Beautiful pic Niva. Dragons and the matrix; strange combination? The machines look more like dragons than like humans in my opinion. And it's both fantasy. The 'only' difference is that the matrix is about the future, not the past.

Well, Trinity_Flame, you are partially right. Dragons don't have to be from the past, they could also be related with the future, cause of their extraudinary intellect and their potential of using magic (which could even be combined with computer technology and so on), just to give one example of the future. Yet, if I think of Dragons, I think of legend and myth, of Dragonslayers of old times and forgotten heroes. I think of the bronze age and the alikes(to put it in a human perspective); hence the past. Besides lots of fantasy is more easily related to the past, although far away planets with fantasy elements could also be part of the future (time is tricky with this one).;)
