What exactly is the matrix. i know its a program but why does neo and the crew have to fight the agents in the matrix. can the agents not fight in the real world. NEED HELP

NEED HELP WildCard Well, they don't have to help kill the Matrix if they weren't so inclined to - but I would assume the thought of humankind being enslaved to be an energy source for the AI - well, that sort of would bother me too. As for agents in the real world, well, they are computer programs - we haven't seen them have a physical presense yet. It might make sense that there is, just nothing we have seen yet. All we have seen physically presense-wise for the AI was the Sentinels.
