Favorite anime of time??

What is your favorite animation film of all time and why?

hmmm........ i'd have to say the second Neon Genesis Evangelion movie, End Of Evangelion, it's a better ending to the series... but it still a complete mind ****.. :D

but there are soo many excellent anime movies... many i am yet to see...

Ghost In The Shell, definetely. I'm a big fan of Masamune Shirow (the author of the original manga). Both the story and the animation quality are top notch. If you haven't seen it yet, I very much recommend it.

My fave is definately 'Fist of the North Star' it was the first anime I ever saw and it got me hooked into Manga Anime.

Yes, there's an animated series called 'Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex' and they should be releasing a new Ghost In The Shell movie somewhere next year. There are also plans for a full CGI appleseed movie.

yeah!! i'm trying to get a hold of the movie! i don't think it's out here yet though... :( Cowboy Bebop is very much so cool :D

I dont have one favorite in particular some of my favorite series is record of Lodoss Wars and I've seen about a dozen episodes of One Piece and that is cool so far. I also like Pet Shop of Horror and I've seen a few episodes of Trigun and they are pretty funny. A few of my favorite movies are Princess Mononke, Spirited Away and Perfect Blue.

my favorite anime well is dragonball Z it's the only good anime shown here in holland (oke it has stopped and GT also. dragonball they don't even show here. now it's only kiddy anime here)

Actually, there are three for me going in order: 1.Trigun, 2.Hellsing, and 3.Cowboy Bebop

I love Dragonball Z movies, always full of action!

FLCL(Furi Kuri or Fooly Cooly)!!!!!!! It's one of the craziest animes that I have ever seen, I LOVE that show! By the way, does anyone like Gundam Wing or Mobile Suit Gundam?

I LOVE Neon Genesis Evangelion (the artwork is amazing!), but the movies really didn't impress me much. I like the series much better.

Oh, and Vampire Hunter D, I love the gore and action in those movies.

this realy make's me jealous that you got to see it.

i have been looking for evangelion movie's (the episode's of the serie) and the 2 movie's. for over 2.5 years now.
my parents won't allow me to buy them over the internet when there not in euro's. and from the web-site of freerecord shop. it's over 2 years that it say's: temporarely not available. and in the shop near me i have never seen them before.

That's too bad, Freddy. I found them at Best Buy (imagine that! They never have any good anime!)

My favorite #1 anime movie Is Princess Mononoke its simply great the story line, the artwork everything

My favorite #1 anime series is Trigun, Big O comes close but not quite as good as trigun

My favorite Anime of all time is FLCL.(Fooly Cooly, or Furi Kuri) Its awesome!

it's a wierd set up but poly matrix was the firs movie, and dual matrix was the sequal, plus the name alone throws you off "armitige the III" I origionaly thought it was the third movie, especially since all you see on the box is armitige III

My favorite anime movie is AKIRA.
My favorite anime series is FLCL.

Why? AKIRA is a classic, and for it's time and even
now it has incredible animation and quality to each frame.
Plus, the storyline is especially grasping, in my opinion.
I felt like I understood Tetsuo, and the action and everything
pulled me into it until the movie was over.

FLCL | Fooly Cooly is in it's own genre, I think.
The animation has it's own fast paced exaggerated anime style,
and that's what makes it in the sense 'awesome.'
The music flows with each situation, and the ideas that they try
to put forward in the anime are deeper than most anime I've
seen. Again, I feel a connection with the characters or situations,
and I get pulled into it. I'm glad they didn't make chronicles
of this anime, as it's only 6 episodes long, because it leaves
the audience to think up their own desired ending or ongoing
plot that may occur later. (Same goes with AKIRA.)

Overall, both are cutting edge in animation and style,
both can also be considered classics for their own time.
I enjoyed these two anime with a great deal more appreciation
that I have experienced in other anime.

(That is to say, my runner up favorite being
Cowboy Bebop actually could have been mentioned here,
but I'm already bending the rules.)
