I don't think M3 will end like that though, it would just be the easy way out. Like making neo wake up or showing how the whole 3 movies were just a simulation in some kind of researchlab. Nono, judging from M1 and M2, M3'll knock your socks of.

The ending Syphon has described here as rumored and unsatisfying is in fact the perfect ending. Why? Because with this circular ending pointing to Neo 7 and his inevitable encounter with the Architect, the Matrix becomes a living thing in the human mind, the real human mind, our mind. To resolve the story in some final way, concretely, would be to kill it.
I'd like to kill it, personally.
Anyways, syphon, you should let people know where you get your rumors from, otherwise they just sound silly.
Indeed, there's a difference between a personal view/theory and an unsubstantiated rumor. Just like the ones for a 4th Matrix movie (which I sincerely hope they don't make).
i think i would piss in my pants if that wuz the ending and i also heard rumors that he woke ^ in his apartment to find his computer was flashing correctly and that it wuz all a dream. if that or the other idea is the ending i will hunt down the wachowski brothers and murder them...have a nice day :p :D
