if you really understand that belief and faith are the strongest forces in this universe and it's nemisis...(figure 8 ) the opposite side of our own universe...then you must know that whatever your mind can perceive you really can bring into reality with a little discipline and hard work!!! this is the exact same corridor the directors of the movie were trying to open up in your mind...as you know you only use 8% of your brain/mind (up to 18% in some) if you train hard enough, don't you think we all can use at least 70% ?????????????????????
I thought a large % of our brain power is reserved for
looping tasks such as breathing, blinking, heart control,
and just "control" of our body. This is the stuff that we
have almost no control over, but could, if we
somehow hacked into our mind (which is actually
possible through the use of hypnosis).
I guess that using 70% of our brain power to
perform a certain task (such as a complex math
equation) might kill us, but it should be
possible. We'd have to somehow divert our
brainpower and concentrate on that one task,
instead of the usual (breathing, blinking, heart)
which is automated.
I usually break things down into computer
terms, it's easier for me to understand it like
that and it actually makes more sense.

The thing is, i have done some reasearch, and found that only 20% of that 92% is used for controlling our body and its functions, we have another 72% of our brain for memory and subcontius ( didnt spell it right). This subcontius is not things that we do but things that we notice, like a spider sense that doesnt inform the contious mind of what it has noticed. For example, have you ever just stared at a word search and eventualy you just KNOW that there is a word in a spacific area but you cant find it? That is what is happening.
I think the important part is knowing that you don't have to be trapped. The majority of my life i have made borders to my life, without even knowing, like so many others. The difference, from living in a world, to living out of it is emmense, and can be compared to the matrix as compared to real life, in the movie.
One question... would you live in the matrix, or in real life, if you were in the matrix? I'd choose real life. I definitely have my reasons..

I don't think that the brain works quite that way. The lower (limbic etc. as I recall?) and autonomous nervous systems are either automatic or semi automatic. Many activities lay below the need for conscious control (breathing, limb co-ordination). Like low level O/S threads run on a separate CPU. When quoting/taking about *brain power* we tend to think of consciously usable brain power just the same as we quote CPU power in usable terms rather than just chip frequency. (comparison not too relevant as the brain is massively parallel not linear).
People with brain damage/irregularities can frequently show increased skills in many tasks such as computational/mathematical ability so on empirical evidence the computer parallel doesn't carry over too well!.
