would someone please tell me what animatrixes are? i feel so left out..

The animatrix is a series of 9 short films (approx. 9 mins in length) developed by 7 "visionary" directors, exploring the world and concepts of the matrix in different forms. For example: one (Final flight of the Osiris) explores the events that led up to the destruction of the ship Osiris; the ship that provided information to the other ships about the movement of the machines (as seen in M2 in the beginning with the confrence of captins). The films are presented in 2 different forms: Traditional Animation and Computer Graphics (Osiris). They're pretty cool, so check them out at theanimatrix.com
