the episide with the glitch in the matrix(error)

syphon

in this episode the agents send in an exterminating team in the area where there is a error in the matrix. I was confused who exactly are the team. I get the feeling that they know each other personaly. Its as if they were hired by the agents to do something they dont usally do. Because 1 agent talks to the head of the team as if they know each other. The tone of the agents voice. Also the agents have differrent clothes than they do in the film. Why?

mayb they just work 2gether alot...alittle unbelevable but work w/ it?

The extermination squad was just another part of the Matrix, another program written to fix errors, like an antivirus, fixing things that went wrong. I thought that it was brilliant that they showed the error episode, I almost crapped myself i thought it was so cool how everything got distorted.

I think the glitch one was called 'Beyond'. It's one of my fav Animatrix stories. I mean, it's such a cool idea. Imagine jumping up in the air, falling...and stopping, just before you hit the ground. And the whole distorted house thing was quite spooky in places. Thank God for MTV2 showing it! :D
Rama

OK it wasn't as if they didn't know about the haunted house, it was just the humans in the matrix weren't supposed to now about it.

Basically it was a dump for all the faulty or buggy programs they needed to put somewhere before deletion or for whatever other reason.

Notice how they were monitoring it and when the kids and the girl went in they sent out the team.

And notice how they say something like "Relocation accomplished" or something like that at the end. That is because all they did was move the "dump" somewhere else. It wasn't like that piece of land was glitchy. It was because they put all the glitches for storage on that piece of land.

'beyond' is so cool. you should hear it in orginal japanese soundtrack too! everything has the meaning. even the background song which playing at the traffic post! the maker said it had to be this japanese song and it had to be recorded from the original source! (nowsday it's very hard to find)

yeah, beyond and matriculated were probably my favorite ones besides the first three. i dont know, too dam hard to decide, they all kick so much ass, definitly a good buy. thatd be very cool to see some 'errors' in the actual movies. :)

I have just watched beyond, and I must say that is my favorite apart from A kids story. I don't think it was a dumping ground, just an error in the programne and it was fixed not because the kids and the girl went there. The kids had been there before many times, I just think it is the story of how they can fix a glitch and it gives you insight to what exactly a glitch in the fabric of the matrix looks like, a rip if you will, in time and space where the real and the matrix meet. Of cource the agents didn't want enyone to find out about it so it was 'Repaired.

I gotta agree with Rama on this one, i mean if the matrix was real (and lets hope to god it's not) where would you put any errors and glitches in your program? Dumps and broken down buildings that no-one goes in!

If it was a 'dumping ground', then why didn't they leave it and take all the effort to 'move' it? It doesn't make any sense to me. Kids are always going to visit old spooky areas, and kids are the most open to suggestion, they just didn't realize they had come in contact with a fabric tear in space and time. Hence the title 'beyond' and not 'dumping ground'. It doesn't equate with a place for old programnes, more like the real.

When you see the end it reads that it is an ANOMOLY reported.
And it doesn't say relocated, it says location reconfigured. Meaning the anomaly was reapaired.

agents don´t necesairly have to dress in the typical suit and tie garments in order to do their job as required. See the agents in the running guy episode? their clothes were damn diff from their usual uniforms. So take it this way no matter what they looklike , as long as they have their spooky robotic slow paced tone of voice and their shades on, they´re agents.
frost

yes, and keep in mind, these 9 films are all from different times. who knows if before the agents were upgraded, they looked that way. the oracle said programs are upgraded a lot 'happens all the time'. so maybe that before, the agents looked a little different. some of Mero's creeps may also have been previous agents before they were upgraded. who knows, some of these films could have even taken place in one of the last five matrices. hmm...

ooops, goddammit, i clicked 'post' twice... grrrr....

mmmmmm think I'm going to have to watch it again closely this time and get back to you! But having a quarentine for bugs in the system is quite normal all computers I've worked on have one so it seems plausible for something as complex as the matrix to as well, and yeah kids minds are "more open" but who is going to listen, their parents will probably dismiss them as their imagination running wild!
