I may have missed something here, but why do people post pictures taken from the most obvious place on earth: the original movie site: http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/
I just don't get the point...

I know, I love that site! I got the trailers from there too.
I think people post the pics they find because they like them. Who knows. And when they are posted here, people can comment about them. They can't comment over at whatisthematrix.com.

Also, you'd really have to dig hard on the official WB site to find
some of the pictures we have on this board.
I'd say a large portion of images here are either ripped from
the trailer, or from movie posters, etc. Some are from the WB
web site, but only the better ones.
So, why?
This is the place to show off your fancy Matrix art, and who knows
if others saw it already, surely posting it can't hurt.
I guess you have a point.
Still think that for the photos it is better to find them at the original source. But definetely appreaciate all the original work here, like the recent trailer shots...
Yeah, I like the conversations some pic posts have started - these were started before anyone knew who Persephone was, or the twins.
It provokes debate and understanding, which is probably the whole point of a forum like this.
I imagine that Warner appreciates forums like this doing it, it cuts down on the number of people downloading from their site. :)
