MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm............:D :D
Awesome! Thanks for joining to post that!
I am guessing, by the looks of it, that the ear piece retracts down onto the screen - and pops up again as needed.
Can you link us this info?

Well, here's the phone's profile on the Samsung website:
http://www.samsung.com/Products/MobilePhone/PCS/MobilePhone_PCS_SPH_N270.htm
Awesome. It doesn't say what services it is compatible with, but I am guessing Sprint.
also says each one is unique with it's own code number.
Carved Product ID(Unique Digits) for every single product
Cool stuff-

im lost here dude-is that 4 sale-if it is im getin a new phone
sweet, but looks a bit bulky.
thanks for the post anyways, i'll check out the exact specs
and if its smaller than it seems, i'll buy it.
thanks!
luc l.
found it on eBay.

Still seems kinda bulky though.
Yeah, but the phones used in M1 were never petite.
I am old enough to have seen those first cell phones that were huge - and the ones even just 5 years old were too big to put in your pocket.
I do not want to see the move back to that. :)

That's part of the reason I never got the original Matrix Nokia.
It's nice, but pretty big compared to all my other phones. I'm
thinking about picking it up now as something to just hold on
to (and not use). They're about $29 on eBay (used, good
condition), so it maybe be worth it. Just for fun.
The smaller the cell phone, the better. As long as my fingers
aren't hitting 2 buttons at once.
I'd love to get my mitts on the old matrix phone.

Wicked.
it does seem kinda chunky... but it is very much so cool... i wouldn't mind having one...
that phone is pimp tight yo they need to make them mass marketed
all i have to say is oooooooooo that is one cool phone:cool:
Going to have to go look for it in the store before I debate buying it.. it looks rather clunky but rather nice..so you never know......
i agree, it should be much sleeker. i wonder if they can travel in/out of the matrix with these now..
From a clip in one of the many different previes I have seen it appears that they are now able to use thier mobile phones to enter and exit the matrix instead of needing a hardline like before....
(it shows trinity holding her cell phone and then like leaving the matrix, but she alos might have been entering it so the fact wether they are able to or not is not clear)
I did some research on these phones....
They're 450$.. and they're almost pure weightlessness steel..
Fugging awesome phones.
Too expensive though.
I think I would buy this phone but it costs an arm and a leg.
$500 thats crazy insane!!!

The last posting was reported a mess up on ebay or somthing because it didnt have the consent of Warner Bros. or somthing like that....
And you have to notice the starting price for this one wich is the very FIRST production model with a tin case signed by the Wachowski brothers and the bidding started at 100 dollars and rose to 600+ from all the people trying to get it.....
So once they start getting produced I doubt they will be that expensive and jis wait till later twoards the end of the year to get one when the rage dies down and they start getting cheaper (usually, not to mention HOPEFULLY :p )
well I think it will take about a year and a half for the rage to die down so thaat the cost will go down. COLOR=crimson]This phone is really f***ing cool!!![/COLOR] :) :)
Excellent...but i am afraid it will be available only in US
Veery cool. They have definetely taken it a step further this time. After all the previous M1 phone was standard Nokia phone with no special M1 effects...
LOL, what a bunch of fools, the matrix phone on ebay (that Vash posted) Is now up to over a GRAND for it. lol, fools. I would just say f*ck it right there and wait for it to come out to stores for prolly under 100 bucks.....
Well, under 200 most likley...
i payed that for a phone but i wouldnt 4 the matrix phone because it kinda looks like a toy
i saw and held the phone-nothing special xcept 4 the facyt its from the matrix-not worth 500
Looks nice but a bit bullky,
Should one get a smaller one.. keep me posted: including specifications
Thanks though
Whats model of the original matrix phone in first movie?
Because i need phone but need a cheaper one too and not soo bulky
This phone is the single coolest cell phone I've ever seen. If you go to the Samsung site and check out the specs, it isn't all that bulky really. It is really close to a Sony Ericcson T-60u. Does anyone know for sure if it is only for Sprint customers?
The orginal phone in Matrix 1 was Nokia's 7110:
http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/phones/7110/
It's not of the smallest either, compared to today's standards...

 You are crazy! That's why the mobile phone companies continue to charge outrageous prices for their products, because people are willing to pay that much. What cracks me up is that when it comes to electronics, the price almost always goes way, way down a few months down the road. I guess it's worth it to people to have the newest coolest stuff before anyone else.

No it wasn't. It was the Nokia 8110.
To Atari:
In the US it was called 7160/7190 I think, in Europe definetely 7110. Try to find 8110 on Nokia's pages, it doesn't exist unless I have missed it.
But I doubt it was 8110.
The 8-series is for "Special design" phones - special looking, usually smaller phones.
The 7-series are those special technical feature phones, like the 7110/60/90 was the first with WAP as far as I remember. Now they have their first camera phone as a 7-series phone.
6-series is for business users.
9-series the communicator, for advanced business use..
5-series - for the youth - like games, extreme sport, sms phones
3-series, the budget phones
I'm not saying I could not be mistaking, but I live in Finland and have heard/seen/read a lot about Nokia and their phones/strategies...
It's quite big and not very handy.. I'd go for a normal motorola any day. Despite the rush of having a Matrix phone in my pocket.
Imagine pulling it out in a boring class at school.. putting it to you ear.. "Operator.. i need an exit" :D
I think the MR phones look clunky and ugly. However, I would have loved a M1 phone when it first came out.
With that said...the only $500 phone that I will be buying in the near future is the Nokia N-Gage. That thing is gunna rawk! Its like a combo GBA/Phone/PDA! w00t!

I actually have one of these at home, and it's an 8110. There is no doubt about that. It's curved like a banana. Besides.. the 7110 is wider at the top and the M1 phone is definitely not. It is not quite the retail version of the 8110 thats being used in M1.. they modified the 8110 (put in a spring for the automatic-front effect). That might have thrown some people off as only the 7110 has that spring-effect. It turns out they actually broke about 200 phones during the shoot, because the spring would break the sliding front.
Oh well.. gotta get back to work.
hey hey! i'm new...well...the thread info said:show off any new matrix gadgets...
i don't have any-ecxept for the glassesand shoes- but i haveto say something...in greece everybody has a cell phone! i mean,EVERYBODY!!! it's like the modern thing to do these days...i don't find it THAT cool...well whenever you guys are in greece just check out anybody on the street....one of them MUST have a matrix phone!
Looks like the matrix phone isn't for sale in Europe. Oh well, I'll probably nab one of the M1 phones of ebay to console myself :p
or nab an m2 phone of ebay...lol
Yeah, I'm looking to buy the M1 phone of of ebay. They're like $30 or so now. The phone itself is a piece of sh*t, but it looks way cool :D

yeah.....just put on your matrix glasses and you'll be ready to roll!!!!!:D
where is the cheapest place 2 buy this fone. i want it really bad and am willing to pay about $450. does ne1 nowhere 2 get it 4 that price
All I can say is that the phone isn't available in Europe. Actually you can only buy it in the US for the time being. Other than that I think they probably have it in any store that sells Samsung mobile phones. At the moment it goes for around $500, so if you hold of a while longer you might be able to pick one up for a bit less (more in the range of your budget).
Damn, I love being right.

Yep, I have both phones now and the 8110 was used in M1. The 7110 did come with the slide open action though (Nokia modified the 8110 and added that feature especially for the Matrix movie).
Also, doesn't the 7110 have that wierd navi-roller thing? whasupwitdat?
The naviroller is actually quite intuitive. You can use it to scroll through menus and click to select options. It's a pretty fast way of finding an entry in the addressbook for example. Think of it as a scrollwheel on a computermouse.
I want one of those soooosososo bad....they r so kewl....they just like the real thing.....but the r just so fu(king expensive! I'm going to be like everyone else......WAIT until the price goes down......WAY down lol :D They should have been smart and sold it for semi-cheap when they first came out wit it...u know? I mean not everyone has money flooding their bank account and pockets!! I wish I was of those.....but u know what they say money can't buy u happiness! :D
The M1 phones only work in Europe and the M2 phones only work/sold in the US.
Anyone know why the M2 phones aren't being in Oz??
