I find it interesting that the machines, for all their dislike of humans as Smith displayed in the first film, enjoy their humanity.
Case in point: That bastard Merovingian :-)
He is likeable, yes, because he his bad. But cruelty and being naughty are HUMAN TRAITS, something a machine, whether intelligent or not, will never have.
The same can be applied about the Architect and the Oracle.
As much as the BAD GUYS hate the humans they are alot like them.
Their HATE is a human trait, their looks are based around human form and their sense of self-preservation is human, animal.
If anyone on this site knows anything about Geo-Thermal (and Im sure there are), I have a question for you:
Why don't the machines utilise Geo-Thermal technology to ensure their survival.
It is easier and would have saved them all that trouble of having to deal with the anomalies of the ONE.
Geo-Thermal Tech is the utilisation of heat from the Earth's core as an energy source.
Free your mind and break away from conventionality.
The Matrix and all that has come to stand for has become conventional and unsurprising.
Let us hope that we won't have to wait another 20 years for a MATRIX if you understand my meaning.
