Could it mean that the past ones leave something behind after being assimilated back into the Matrix that is passed on to the One that is going to came after them?.....Could this be why Neo and the Kid has that weird connection....And could it be why the Kid was able to free himself from the Matrix (indicating that he perhaps is a former one)

No it means neo is the manifestation of errors that are still in the system. He rebuilt the system less perfect so humans would accept it. The result of this imperfection is that enomalies crop up. This one being Neo. The architect needs this anomaly so he can study it and correct it in his matrix.

Look at it like this:

- you design a car
- you build a car
- you test the car and it steers to the right
- you look why it does that
- you see the error
- you compensate.

It's a feedback system

Look carefully at the speech he gave. He says so much of anomalies and chain reactions but never says directly that he is the anomaly. Look at it this way:the anomaly the way i see it refers to the various people that have found one way or other out of the matrix. perhaps Neo is the ANSWER to the anomaly? It seems possible considering he's occured at least 5 times (if i'm not wrong) with reactions and motives completely predicted by Arc? Like that post abt Neo being a debugging program...it makes sense. Only the problem is why the Agents called him the Anomaly...perhaps a different level of interpretation? I'd love to find out where u got that speech...it confounded me despite my best efforts to listen....I got distracted early on by the other Neos....could u post the remainder of the speech to let me refine my theory?
