neo and the choice

do u think that since neo was the first to choose the door that destroys all things that is why he has all the power because everyone else that chose the other door was not really the ones before him, that neo is really THE ONE and only??

no. I think it has to do with smith, or neo being caught between the matrix and the real world, or both.

Yes, the 'Out of Control' book reference pointed to in another thread suggests that the lines between man and machine are becoming blurred. I think that both Neo and Smith are just further demonstrations of this blurring. I think Neo is the chosen one in part because he can do as the machines do - he has 'off the scale' mental dynamics which Mouse points out as he fights with Morpheus, and he is "like a machine" which Tank states after 10 hours of training.
The 'one' is the person who can change the matrix as he sees fit - an ability here-to-fore reserved for the sentient programs. Perhaps this ability to think and do as the programs in the matrix do also allows him to 'act' as a machine outside the matrix. this is reaffirmed when he says he can sense the sentinels coming.
