The prophecy is true

i just watched reloaded again and decided to pay special attension to things discussed on these forums :)

i noticed something and it might already have been disscussed...but the prophecy is true i believe....

the oracle tells neo about a door made of light....which leads to the machine mainframe.aka. the source....."that is where the path of the one ends"

well this is true.......

he goes thru the door of light......to the "mainframe" on his way to the source
he meets the architect who tells him what his choises are....now if he were to go to the other door the prophecy would be "fulfilled?"

because the oracle talks about him entering the source and that is exactly what he should have done....but because of his love for trinity he chose the right door, supposedly leading to the destruction of the matrix and of all mankind....

i had a good idea in my head when i started this but its turned into rambling :) i hope you can see what i am getting at from all this

I believe that you are right...as he never made it to the source. The architect said the door on his right would take him to the source, thereby allowing him to pick 17 women and 6 men (or whatever) to repopulate zion...but going against the convention, even the wise thing to do, he didn't fulfill the prophecy...had he gone through, yes the war would have been over, and the machines would have one (as they would destroy zion asap). But Neo purposely chose to go a different path, and thereby didn't complete the prophecy. I agree with you

just adding to that the oracle never said who would win....she said that the war would be over when the path of the one ended..........maybe the war ends with the destruction of zion and then the 16 chicks and 7 guys recreate it

however, I would never have picked the door that had me pick 23 people to repopulate. I'd rather see the whole place go down. Just me I guess.

I tend to think that the oracle wants to help, but she doesn't know how, so she just does what she can do.
