Favorite/Least Favorite Scenes from the movie?

Noir

What's your favorite scene and least favorite scene? You can also say why, if you want to explain why.

I liked the park scene, I'm a sucker for well done fight scenes, altho you gotta admit that some of those moves looked flimsy, but it was still very well done. This was on my brain after i saw the movie that night, I was online chatting then decided to fire up Matrix 1 and watch it since I coudln't get this scene out of my mind.

Least favorite was the party/rave scene, it felt out of place in a movie like that, they coulda switched that out and put something meaningful in it's place. Sex sells I guess.

My most favorite scene was the one where neo fights the agents who come through the door at the start of the movie ("huh, upgrades"). It got my adrenaline pumpin and the music got me all giddy inside... ready for the rest of the movie.

It kind of set the mood for me :)

Least favorite scene, I'd say I didn't like any scene where link tries to be funny. The man should learn to be more serious when peoples lives are at stake.

For me, I LOVE when Smith is walking up to Neo for the first time and the crows are flying away and he says, "Mr Anderson!" I love the way Smith says it. Also love after the twins go after Morpheus, Trinity, and the Key Maker when the other programs shoot at Neo and he stops the bullets in the air, and the Merovingian says, "Okay youve got some skill."

My most favorite part of the movie was probaly when neo had the bar and was fighting all of the smiths. That smith guy has the perfect part in this movie and that should never change.

My least favorite part was when neo was on top of the tower praing and things i would rather them have something more exciting then to see a man praying on a tower.

Not that i am against praying they should've put some more action in that scene or somthing.
EliteZion44

I really like it when Neo is fighting all those Agents and they all lay on him when they get him down, and then he just bursts out and they all fly everywhere.

I also liked the part where Trinity was getting pissed off because Persephone was trying to get a kiss from Neo.

What was really cool and freaked me out was when the Twins changed translucent and went into the floor.

The best scene was the Freeway Scene. That kicked a$$.

Oh I almost forgot: the scene where the 2 trucks collide. That's some nice special effects if you ask me. Rates pretty high in my book of best scenes in the movie :)

What tower - when is this in the movie - I can't recall?

I would have to go with 2 scenes actually...The fight scenes and phasing scenes with the Twins and then the scene where Neo fights the frenchies henchmen on the grand staircase. It was choreographed so nicely...I love the final part of the scene where everyone jumps off the balcony after neo...gave me goosebumps
Stankywizzlesna

dont tell me you're talking about the beginning when he lands on the building right after flying, if so he wasn't praying... he was just looking.... badasz. if that's only scene i can think of where it looks like he would be praying...

Favorite part in this movie has to be when neo is fighting all the Smith's. Once he gets the pole and hits the first smith, and they have the concrete shattering off. You have to give credit to the ridiculous highway scene.... and i thought the techno they had during that scene not only fit PERFECTLY but was just as ridiculous as the scene its self!

Least favorite part is definitly the rave / sex scene, i thought it was completly unessaccery and almost near the point of pointlessness. It kinda threw off the mood that was set before hand.
Neo6th

My favourite scene was also the park scene where neo took on 100 agent smiths. I eccspecialy liked the particular part of that scene when neo got fed up and started fightin with the metal pole, it was really cool.

As much as I liked that part I was a bit dissappointed by the fact you could see the cgi in there. It looked kind of plasticy at times. Still, it was very well done, just not as kickass as I expected.

Favorite scene-the ending
least favorite- the begining

Favorite Scene: Neo is racing to catch trinity while she hurtles towards the ground in slo mo.....while you see Neo's wake destroying everything he passes. Vaguely reminded me of the scene in an old movie called Firefox when a very fast plane was going through the mountains at incredible speeds at very low altitude.....destroying everything in its wake.

Worst Scene: Orgy in the beginning for like, what, 10 minutes? If I wanted to see that I would have gone home and turned on skinimax. Sex scenes in Sci Fi moves are usually fast, graphic and ...did I mention fast???
NEOsporin

My favorite scene was when Neo did battle for the first time in the movie against the 3 upgraded agents! The anticipation was intense and the music was epic-like. The flight scene that directly concluded that showdown topped it all off.

The worst was when morpheus escaped the twins narrowly! jk...lol

no, actually it was when neo busted ultimate good guys when he charged up trins heart. It was an act of neo's athority in the matrix, so i wont complain about that. It was simply to much "good guy" action 4 me. lol:)
Believer

You must all be guys. Your fav. scenes are the action scenes. My fav. scene are the emotional ones!

Fav. scenes: lovemaking and saving Trinity
Least Favorite: half the fight scenes. I'll probably be hung by you all for saying that, but most of them didn't add to the plot or have me worried for Neo's safety. I enjoyed the choreography at times, but I could have done without half of it!

When you think about it, both the fighting and the sex were unnecessarily LONG; I guess it just depends on who you are if you enjoyed them or not. To me the fighting seemed to go on FOREVER, but the lovemaking was awesome. Normally I don't get much into such scenes, but I loved seeing the gentleness and love between Neo and Trinity. It reminded me about the strength of their connection, and since the whole end of the movie rides on you caring about their connection, it served a huge purpose to me.

Other favorite moments:
--Agent Smith pokes Neo with the finger of death, and Neo overcomes it. Because it had me a bit worried.
--Trinity flipping gracefully off the motorcycle (at the beginning and again at the end).
--Neo flying to catch Trinity, with the exploding buildings.
--Oh, and Persephone's silver bullets!! Classic!

Yea, I agree with Believer.
Generally the love and affection scenes throughout the movie gave it another touch, which personally I liked very much. It is the continuation of the love between Trinity and Neo from Matrix 1. Definitely a beauty spot of the movie. (Not that the rest scenes were bad, indeed they were PERFECT!)
Mersault

Do you have to be a guy to like action scenes?! Personally I hated the sex scene. It was waaayyyyy too long and graphic. I don't enjoy wathching people having orgies. So that was my least favorite scene. And I didn't think the action was too long. Face it, people don't go to see the Matrix for its sex and cheesy (yes they did go overboard on the cheese) emotional scenes. They go for the action.
My favorite moments were the following:
-At the beginning when you see Neo fly for the first time in the flick and it zooms out and all the clouds are sort of following him. Talk about power man!
-I'll have to re-enact this one for you.
-Agent: "You!"
-Smith: (while sticking his hand into Agent's chest) "Me. Me, me, me."
-Agent: (Now transformed into smith-droid) "Me too."
that had me cracking up!
-When the trucks collide, and everything goes slow-mo and you can see Morpheus and the key maker on the truck and Neo comes and swipes them away from death's finger tips. Man that was cool!
-I have to give props to the fight on the stair case too. That was AWESOME!
-The multiple Smiths scene was cool too, but you could tell it was cgi sometimes. But still, it was awesome.
Mersault

I agree with NEOsporin about the starting Trinity's heart up thing. the "I love you too damn much" line was just too damn cheesy for me. I mean, come on. The survival of humanity, or your girlfriend? Geez!!! Of course I think he chose the right door because deep down he believes that he can save humanity with out the whole...yeah, you know what I mean...but they played the trinity card a bit too much there.

Adding to my previous post on this topic...

The chase scene on the highway overall was awesome. However there was one part of it that stood out to me and made me say "whoa." This was when the camera angle went through the underside of the tractor trailer at high speed. My mind is still wondering how in the hell they pulled that angle off? If anyone missed this small sequence you should go back and take another look, it was pretty bad ass cinematography.
frost

defnintly the ending, the whole save trinity, watch the ship blow up, disarm the sentinels, get put in a coma, and watch morpheus almost die when his ship blows up. awesome ending. also the semi explosion, very nice.
frost

that 'under-the-truck' shot was done with computers. they did a pretty good blend in those scenes of live-action and cgi. much better than the neo fight scenes.

another one of my favorites was Neo vs. Seraph, cuz that was very well coreographed, and didnt get much recognition.

My least fav part would probably anytime that annoying kid ran up to Neo, ah he just bothers me. My least fav was the temple, not because of any 'human rituals' that was fine. it didnt seem to realistic though, why didnt they have a PA system so morpheus didnt have to scream? I can understand candles, sure, need to save electricity if you live in the last city on earth. I think the scene was slightly over-brought-out and lasted too long, though. Surprised me all those people could hear morpheus, i mean, it couldnt have been that silent in there.
StillInAMatrix

I love the scene when Neo meets God. I mean, I love the scene when Neo meet the Arch. He gives Neo the option of...There really wasn't an option because Neo had to go on living.

I was getting tired of the fight scenes because what really makes me want to endure Neo hitting the next Smith is the machine learning what love is. I sound like a *****. The machine understands what having its plan f*cked with means (Smith being exiled because of Neo), but it doesn't understand why a human would forsake humanities existance for love. That pretty bi*ch's program knew what feeling good meant, but she forgot what love meant..what?

They undersatnd pleasure, they understand caring (The Oracle), the understand frustration (Smith), but why do humans reject the Matrix? The first matrix was perfect...and humans rejected it. Makes me wonder if the Matrix is actually people fighting the machines that put them there. If some people are more content thinking that they are doing something worthwhile, why not let them think that? I.E. Why not let people be happy with what they think they are doing? Humanity has gone through history fighting...so, when some are happy, why not let the others think they are battling the great fight when they are no in some other dream?

I will be upset with the Matrix if Neo beats the machines when most banks in the world have more then two or three lines of defense. Makes me wonder, if I was fighting these machines, and life is hell here with one city, if I would fight on to see what is on the other side. Would I give up or keep fighting?

Sorry. It was late. I love wondering about this evil deciever idea. It was always a question; how far would you go if you could actually do something about Descartes' deciever?
Rodion

my favorite scene was easily when Neo saves Trinity. I'm a sucker for big emotional pay off moments like that, when I can believe them, just like I did in M1 when Trinity brings Neo back to life (the buildup to that and Neo's stoping the bullets being one of the finest bits of cinema I think I've ever seen). The "I love you too damn much" line was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but the absolute confidence Neo had in his decision when he walked away from the architect was fantastic, and the urgency and power he displayed in racing to her was breathtaking. To me the romance angle was the most important thing to pull off for me to enjoy this movie, cause if they didn't succeed in making it believable like they did in the first, then any thing great the movie did would fall a bit flat and any flaws would be much less forgiveable. I thought it was one of the most succesful elements of the movie.

Least favorite scenes, the ones with the kid, which fortunately, were set up to make him look obnoxious, and the cave rave scene, which despite it being believable that a celebration would occur before war, and the always nice appearance of breasts, was so horribly flawed in continuity, that it appeared that beer commercial logic had taken over the film. I half expected a "Neo and Trinity's love making session has been brought to you by Heinkeken" sign to appear afterwards.

Another little beef which I honestly didn't take note of til it was pointed out to me was that Morpheus character was a lot less strong in this one. He did not appear to be wise, knowing, and confident like in the first film, but blindly over-confident and unreasonable, showing no tolerance or understanding towards anyone who disagreed with him. Kind of a sign of weakness in my eyes.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it as a sequel. It wasn't as satisfying as the first film, but this one was telling a story on a much grander scale than the first one did, and so it had a lot more room to make mistakes, which there were a few. It took a while for me to get into, but after the first third or so of the film, I was loving it as much as I loved the first one..
