Alright I can't convince you that there is gonna be a prequel but I can convince you there will be a Matrix 4.
Okay in the matrix online the war isn't over and you know the wachowski brothers they think alot about what they do before they do it. So in the next movie the war will not be over. One prediction I have that might not come true is that there will be another underground city in the real world because in the end of M3 the oracle said what about th others. And the architect said obviously they will be freed. And the oracle said I have your word(I think she said that...). So that means there will be more people freed and more people in the real world. So they will spread and build another city.
In M2 Neo and Trinity were havin a baby. And that means in M4 the machines take trinity and plug her baby in to the matrix. And the baby will be the second "The One". You know how in the matrix online morpheus was killed by an assassin. Well heres another prediction. An assassin was sent to kill morpheus because Morpheus came in to the matrix to save the second "The One" from another assassin. Or maybe even the assassin that killed morpheus was suppost to kill The One #2 and after he killed morpheus maybe he goes to kill The One #2 but someone sacrifices there life for The One #2 like maybe that kid that neo saved.
And so someone goes to unplug The One #2. And he will get trained and do all the simulation programs and all that stuff.
Next, The One #2 goes to see the oracle and sees sati. Like you know how at the end of M3 sati asked the oracle if we will ever see Neo again and the oracle says I suspect so. She ment they were gonna see a "part of him". The oracle offers him a cookie and tells him what he needs to know. I think she is gonna tell him to go get something from the merovingian.
Okay here comes the part with the Merovingian. As The One #2 goes to the Mero they get attacked by the twins or even an army of the twins, and thats the part where The One #2 starts to believe. When they get to the Mero's place they will get the thing from the Merovingian.
Maybe the thing will be a peice of code (Knowledge).
And another prediction. The One #2 will see the architect and may kill him and free everyone from the matrix because neo says If I were you I'd hope we don't meet again, but I dought all that will happen.
And I'm pretty sure The One #2 will have a Burly Brawl with the merovingian because the Mero will want that peice of code/Knowledge. And The One #2 will win and kill the merovingian and that code/Knowledge will save everyone plugged into the matrix and destroy the machine city.
But there will still be some machines left that will build a new machine city. And there will be a Matrix 5.
