A Google OS?

Given the move Google has recently made and the line of products they have/are pushing out there has been a lot of industry talk about what Google would do next. Though it is only speculation at this time, many see google preparing itself to release the next great OS. I am not going to get into much detail as discussions about new hardware and Google resources can be found here (http://news.softpedia.com/news/What-Would-Microsoft-Do-if-Google-Invented-an-OS-6343.shtml) and here (http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=10096&page=1) but I would like to see what some of the members who understand OpenSource coding think of the idea.
