I seem to have an inexhaustable source of invites. Every time I invite someone, it automatically resets to 50 the day after.

Ah so yahoo's upgraded to 1Gb eh? The times of 5 and 10mb free e-mail accounts are truly over. Now its utterly pointless to pay for "larger" space, when you get more space in the freebies than any average person could ever use. Simply brilliant :)

I've never been interested in gmail for the simple reason I have many email accounts with funny names. I like being different. EG: I have the following. @farts.com @viagra.com, @guttertramps.com, @gothics.com, @sex.com, @valium.com @reddwarf.com, @evolutionist.com and several others. I like them. They are also fun to use when people validate my password (those snob sites) and do a double take.

Nope. Gmail is the biggest I know of. You see, Gmail has ever-increasing webspace. It started with 2 GB, but than started a 'counter', which just keeps on running. It's about 200 MB over 2 GB by now.

Anyway, these things are absurd. A relative heavy internet user will never need to delete a single message in his whole life and never have to worry about a clogged inbox. Basically, they are expanding the room faster than most people can fill it.

To be frank this whole thing is turning into a dick measuring contest. When gmail first started getting big Yahoo went into a panic and increased theirs to 250Mb, gmail went to 1.5Gb, Yahoo increased some more, gmail went to 2GB, then so did yahoo, now gmail is a never ending increase of space.

Seriously what the hell? Its getting absurd now.

Perhaps, but it does mean users don't have to worry about inbox space anymore. There are, and have been for some while now, programs around that allow you to use Gmail as an external disk drive.

You know, this shit is what should have happened with the internet all along. Corporations making billions of dollars from advertisements, but giving some of that money back in competing and becoming the best. I love Google for all it has brought me, and they will have to do a lot of bad shit before I'll stop using it. They bring out an OS, I'll read two reviews, toss my Windows off it, and install it (having no prior experience switching OS's). That's what you get when a corporation gives users what they want.

This is like the old days of AOL. Back then in order to get new members they had unlimited email space, I dont know if thats still how it is or not. People used to hack AOL accounts so they could use the email space for trading warez. (it was the days of the 9600 and downloading shit took all night) It seems you could use all that space for the same sort of thing. Trading movies and the such. Which is illegal, so dont do it. But aside from that, I dont really see why anyone would need that kind of space. Do you really need to keep an email from three years ago?

probally not .. but isn't it nice to not worry 'bout deleting it because of lack of space?

I guess I just dont have that problem. The 10MB space I have right now has never been full. But then I dont like a lot of clutter is if I dont need it gets deleted. Its not as though its a real complicated and lengthy procedure.
