I just finished watching all the Lord of the Rings extended editions in one
go with some friends and what an experience it was...11 hours of
goodness and the whole story without breaks or interuptions.
After finishing with this I was reminded of an idea I had a while ago,
which I hadn't acted on because I couldn't find any references to it
online. The idea is simply to rip all of the film clips from Enter the
Matrix, the Animatrix and any others that the brothers hid as a media
bonuses and the entire triology onto a computer and set everything in
chronological order as one film and burn it back onto DVD.
My reasoning...to get as close to the "whole story" as possible without a multitude of TVs, DVD players and AV cables, cueing and detailed planning.
Watching LOTR this way really gave me an appreciation for this "all in one" approach.
If anyone has any tips or has heard of anyone doing this before I'd love
some advice.
Thanks,
Jaxon
