Neo getting off the elevator

In Reloaded when Neo gets off the elevator that him and Trinity were kissing on, it looks VERY eerily similair to Jesus after he started his journeys. People everywhere he went lining up and begging him to heal their loved ones or children or even themselves. They are all of one group as well just as the Jews that Jesus healed were.

I also realized that. But what confused me is, are they asking for Neo to heal their child who is still in the matrix or what? Because he only has power to do stuff like that in the matrix, and he can only kill machines in the real world...what, do they think he's God?

Essentially yes, he has the ability to do a lot of things none of them could ever dream of and they do not have the understanding of what he can and cannot do in and out of the Matrix, hell, we're even shown later he can control machines outside the Matrix.
They also see him as the savior of Zion, and the God like figure.

The_Wanderer you forget that he CAN do these miracles inside the Matrix. If you recall in the first movie Morpheus something along the lines of "And she said there would be a savior, one who could manipulate the code as he saw fit." He could manipulate that code any which way he wanted to in order to cure some ailment they had inside the Matrix or else to disrupt input/output carrier signals causing the people to be rejected by the system. However, I don't believe that any of these people would have knowledge of having children if those children are still jacked into the Matrix.
