Matrix is related to alice in wonderland

I feel that the matrix is related to alice in wonderland due to a lot of reasons. Alice follows a white rabbit into wonderland, Neo follows a white rabbit also. Tweedle dee and tweedle dum are the twins. The queen could be the oracle(it could happen). The cat could either be smith or trinity. It could be smith because it always trys to get alice in trouble, or trinity because it is always around. :)

Well you pointed out most of the obvious reasons that were shoved in your face and a couple that are definetly streaching it. "I'll bet you're feeling a bit like Alice right now, hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?" Also, Alice goes through a looking glass at some point. Neo also has his little encounter with the mirror before he wakes up.

You feel that way because it IS related to Alice.The matrix is wonderland.The dream world.Remember what Morpheus says,if you cannot wake from those dreams that seem more real than the real world,how can you make the difference between the two?Dont forget that Alice,during the entire Alice in wonderland story,is asleep (except the beginning and the end, yes).She made the transition between the two worlds without noticing it.If she werent to wake from her dream,how could she know she was dreaming?

yes...there is a lot of A.I.W. in this movie. As for the cat- I dont think he's represented in the movie. The basic Alice In Wonderland ideas are there; a dreamworld, etc. but this isnt like a technological version of it. I havent seen that movie for a while...maybe I should rent it to see if I can find any more parallels.

Now the cat is a problem. Unless you call him to be the guy who always appears with the oracle.:D Besides that I can't think of anyone else that the cat would be like in the movie. Or who would be the mad hatter? And who would be that rabbit in the movie as well?

I think the cat is represented by the Oracle, or by Morpheus. It's hard to choose between the two of them. They always talk in riddles and try to act as a guide, but are unable to give straight answers. Instead they give advice on how to find the answer for yourself.

The mad hatter would be the Merolvingian for sure!

i think the rabbit is the idea of the matrix, it was the idea of some other world that lead neo to the real world and it was the rabbit that lead alice to wonderland.
