Parents/family in the matrix

One thing that really makes me wonder how long these cycles are in the matrix you Never hear anyone talk of there family in the or there parent like trying to free them or anything along those lines Anyone have any idea along thse lines do people even have a family in the matrix

how would you know.. after all,, everyone in the "matrix" is in the power plant.. and they are all test tube,, i mean test pod babies.. no,, there would be no family,,

In m1 when the agents are chasing Neo after he takes the guys phone a little girl is holding hands with an older woman who is "possessed" by one of the agents. I assume that the older woman was the little girl's "mother" not biologically perhaps but at least in whatever passes for such in the matrix. Also in m2 when the elevator stops at Neo and Trinity's floor all those people want Neo to protect their children serving on other ships...which makes you wonder, are all those people's children operators or did they somehow free their "children" from the Matrix, or perhaps these are the parents whose children freed them?

Very good point it just doesnt make sence that they would all be operators.

i always gave myself the impression that what happens in the matrix is sort of a virtual mimic of what is really happening with the software and machines, like an computer interpretation...a bad analogy is like when the machines transfer some data to somewhere else maybe a building in the matrix begins construction and when the files are copied and finished the building is in use in the matrix. perhaps its like this with humans, where the humans die in the matrix of old age if they are finally transformed into batteries, or deletion would be like murder or suicide. and also, maybe giving birth in the matrix is like the interpretation of new files being created.

i dunno...its late and your brain can understand anything when youre tired.
