Intelligent Design ?

I got this from a friend who says this proves divine intervention in evolution, I say its a load of crap. It doesnt prove anything except some over enthused evangelists making some assumptions.

Divine Intervention..? I don't think so...
I think it's a fairly controversial matter, more of an opinion, then an actual published result of findings. Which shows within the first few lines of the article "As much as evolutionists will try, their (often pathetic) attempts...(cont.)"

I think the author of this article, has the belief in 'panspermia' Which would explain alot of the things talked about in the article. Panspermia is the one of the beliefs that engages religion (god of choice) with an bioloigical theory. Unlike say, 'The BB theory' which only engages a bioloigcal theory.

So basically, I rekcon this article is full of shite.

Don't you just hate these sorts of rhetorical questions? Sounds like something off the TV program 'The Outer Limits'
I mean, most bio-organisms have some kind of articulate design.. take me for example

If you're walking along and find a finely crafted Iron Maiden, with fresh blood stains on it, no less, do you suppose it was put together by chance, or an Intelligent Designer?

This, in my opinion is what this article is all about. "Animals are so grand they have to be created."
Now, if we look at the statement he makes, one can see that he as well is making an assumption. He assumes, because animals are so destinct, that they have been created. There is, however, also a chance that they were not created and indeed evolved.

What does this mean? Basically, we are posed with two possibilities, and indeed, his essay does put forth a truth. We are not entirely a hundred percent sure about evolution. However, this does not mean that our ideas on evolution are a hundred percent wrong. We have found many links that proof that our cells with all their components are made from the fusing of different cells with different functions. We have proof that certain animals indeed 'evolved' from single-cel; organisms.

Yet, can we proof beyond doubt that evolution is the true theory? No. Can we prove it beyond reasonable doubt? Yes. But hey, no one ever said that religious people were open to reason...

OK, while the article is definately lacking in sevaral points and taking far too many liberties, I AM with the basic theme of it.

Look at everything and TRY to honestly believe that it wasn't created by some great designer. They claim the Earth is so stinking "young" yet it would take billions MORE years for Humans to have "evolved" than the Earth is old.

There is so much perfection and mystery in Nature. How could it all have just happened, by chance? My mind just can't grasp that idea and latch onto it.
