The Matrix Convention Petition!!!!!!!!

ok warner Brothers are thinking about having a convention and not thinking about the convention, But if they get enough sig's they will have a Matrix convention, We need as many fans sigs as we can!!!

I think it would be more original if you dressed up as a citizen of Zion. If I go I will probably get a grungy outfit, something that would replicate the whole child of Zion, or maybe as a crew member. Get the Boots, pants, jackets, and it would be cool if I could get some stick on plugs.

This petition is still not getting enough signatures. Where are all the real matrix fanatics. We need the word to get spread, so if anyone can post up a thread on another Matrix site that would help. Just spread the word to anyone you know. At the moment I am getting people that I don't even know, at my school, to sign the petition. So if everyone could at least get ten people to sign ,and tell them to pass on the info, we would have a lot more sigs.

I signed, #1631, and if I went I probably wouldn't dress up. Too many people would look alike and then I would get lost. :(

Since August, we have tried numerous times to persuade WB to help us. However, they have made it clear that they will not support us, which means this convention cannot...and unfortunately, will not...happen. We are very sorry and we would like to thank all the petition signers. If there is any way you can persuade WB, please do. Because of the many requests for sponsorship of numerous conventions, they have made it a policy to deny sponsorship to all conventions. Apparently, they care less about the fans than about making money. If you have any suggestions, email us or...we hope you enjoy Revolutions. Sorry and thanks again.

I cant belive that they said no. i mean Waner brothers could of had a awesome money spree with them not having to pay for the space of the convention all they would have to do is get the actors to come and sign autographs and such things. i mean they could charge $20 bucks a pop i would pay it! Well that just sucks, i wished all the people of matrixmania signed it. That too bad thought

I still hope for you all that signed in, that there will be a convention. man the brothers are idiots to not do that, are they dumb or something. a convention of the matrix will bring up alot of money. so they don't have to worry that they have to pay for everything. they will get it back (mabey dubble or triple)

I think the brothers might have canceled,because they were afraid to face critism from fans, or maybe they just got very cranky since the matrix is over, and not too many people liked it.....

Well the thing is... the Star Trek conventions would get the actors from Star Trek to appear because some of them didn't have careers after that except for Priceline commercials... just kidding. I think most of the actors in the Matrix wouldn't show up because they just couldn't afford to pay them, but I'm not really sure.

I don't care about what actors show up or if the brothers would show up, I just think its a cool way for matrix fans to get connected. It would be realy nice though to get Larry and Andy's autograph, and I would like to meet Laurence Fishburne, I heard he is a realy interesting guy. Although if this convention did actualy happen I would be exited enough just to meet more Matrix freaks. The Matrix will never die, as long as it resides in the unfreed minds of our next generation.

I might try to send a letter or E-mail to Warner Brothers, to persuade them even more, I wish others could do the same.

I will try to find the email along with 01-rebel, iam going to send the petition makers a email asking what their email is so we can bombard them with email and if they block our emails make a new email address and keep emailing them!!!!!!

I think it would be great if we could get sponsorship from Warner Brothers, but I doubt it will go down that way.

I think it would be a lot cooler if the whole thing were funded by the fans themselves.

It would no doubt be a small convention at first, so not a whole lot of money would be required. Especially if it were held in a public place, but it would cooler if we could rent out space in a hotel somewhere.

If enough people were willing to pool some money together, it wouldn't be a problem. I've attended DefCon for the past few years and it started out very small. Just a couple people hanging out in Vegas discussing computer security, and now 12 years later, it's the largest hacker's convention in the world because so many people were willing to chip in for a good cause. There are vendors, guest speakers, contests, etc. all in the span of three or four days. I'd love to see something like this, but for Matrix fans.

I'm 1641. That would be so cool if they had a convention. Unfortunately, if it were to be in Chicago, I highly doubt I could go. That would be awsome though. If anyone gets anymore info, please e-mail me or PM.


**EDITED**Yeah, why couldn't we fund it ourselves. O I just thought of a reason (l/o/l its sounds like i'm being smart about it) Because there are so many fans but really no where near each other. I mean some people might not fund it if they can't even go. Hopefully some day we will be able to have one though.

I was thinking about the money side of this earlier. And I realized maybe one reason why Warner Bros. doesn't want to do this. (bare with me here, I've never been to a convention and therefore only have the basic idea of how it works)

Let's say the 1641 who signed go.

that adds up to the grand total of $180,510. I have a pretty good feeling that isn't going to be able to pay for the actors, the food and junk, and anything else, let alone make a decent profit off it at the same time.

Mostly, I think the Warner Bros are worried that not enough people will show up for them to profit off this.

If we want this connvention to happen, we need to get a ton more signatures or bombarded the Warner Bros with Emails from Matrix fans around the world. Either way, if it's our time to have this convetion, then it's our time to have it. If we have to give up our dignity in the proces, WE GIVE 'EM HELL BEFORE WE DO!!!!! :D
