This should make it easier as I will update this whenever a new position is filled so you can just check here rather than going through each thread. Remember that if you wish for a position, the post number requirements are as follows for said ship positions:

I don't mind you having your ship in MXO, however for the time being the ones we already have shall suffice. You are now the captain of the Logos.;) Valasher, can you add Lord Kante as a crew member on my ship.... Lord Kante has just joined us hon, his post count doesn't make him applicable yet I'm afraid hon as he only has 7 posts. ;) Okay, Ut I had a real cool idea and I was thinkin if it would be poss to have like a ship merger, where two ships basically join together, instead of two ships they would be one big ship, and a joint crew. Is that possible? I like where you're coming from sparky, however I'm more of a fan of the idea of people who want to join a mission whilst waiting for their ships recrutments to be filled.
These are still early days, although I'm really liking the idea of appointing new postitions for ship doctors too (as you mentioned to me) however that too can wait until the ships are filled or some mission is in desperate need of one.
I think the current structure will suffice for the time being. And thank you for the input on both ideas sparky, I love input and communication.
UT Councilor is in a way also a docter ? In the broader sense of the word, yes. Think of it as a type of expansion. Once these ships have been filled sufficiantly, then we can think about bringing along another title.
It also gives rise (and leaves more options open for our Captains) to promote those who they think have truly deserved it after a mission. In the meantime, let's focus one and all on either promoting our ships or helping out our fellow Captians and their crew promoting theirs. I see some empty ships their who need crew, for we have a lot of talented writers/battle tacticsions who need our support. ;) Change of plans. NMN is now in charge of ship recruitment so that UT can focus on her ship. I think I might join a ship as well... Hmmm... which ship to join...? THE VIGILANT!!!!

I am so happy and excited whats gonna come out next. I chose the Mjolnir, not because it was struggling, but just because I thought it was the best fit for my personality. ;) Sorry architect dude... Now to apply to a ship, find the ship thread in this forum, and ask the captain to join. It is as easy as pie. The only thing is, you need to have at least 100 posts to join a ship as crew member. So happy posting, and you will be at 100 in no time flat. Ok, here's the story: Since CraHan, Xehirut, and Kaneda have not been here actively participating in the ships as the rules Val, I have taken away there captain positions.
The Bhrama, The Gnosis, and The Neb all need new captains.

I have also added a temporary rule. Members need to try and fill the ships that they are most like in the descriptions. It doesn't matter who is on the ship, it should be based solely on yourself. Until all ships have at least one member in each position(medic is voluntary), then more can be added to the ships. The overflow of members on the Caduceus and Osiris is a bit unfair.

when'll the story begin ? You have to talk to your capatain about the story for your ship. You are crew of the Mjolnir, and you can stay crew forever if you want.
There is also a collabrative work out by ThereIsNoMatrix, so you can PM him about that. It is called Matrix: Degraded.

About the clans right now Madhijs there all kind dead right now. Not like there dead all together its just no one has posted in the clan are sicnce 5/30/04. For a start, you can't join any ships until you have 100 posts, something I learned the hard way :rolleyes:, they were made to make it a bit more fun around here, it's a bit of an RPG if you like.
Basically, no, you can't make your own ship, not right now anyway. For a start we are having trouble filling all the ones we have so there is really no need, there is plenty of room on the ones already available. yes you can only choise ships that where in the matrix movie's (and animatrix)

Btw, a question to ask, what does a counmcillor do in here? Is there a need for an engineer to repair ships? Why is there only a medic on Caduceus, and not other ships?

Well it's rather hard to give promotions on the Osirus. seeing as all the positions have been filled.
the reason the caduceus is the only ship with a medic is. because it's the only ship that has a med bay(medic bay :p ) (in the movies)

That part I know, ok, u mix two questions together. I get the councilor ans, but heres another question.
When the ships gets damage is there gonna be an engineer to repair the ship, or our fellow crew does the job? I don't know if there engineers on ships. i think the ships just get repaired when there in the docks in Zion ^^^Not quite true. Go to thematrix.com, and you'll see that the Mjolnir(Hammer) also has a medbay. Exactly. like the medbay Neo and (Smith) were in. ;)

NXMc Which brings us back to the question: Why is the Caduceus the only one with the medic? Apparently Maggie was the medi on the Hammer before she was killed by Bane/Smith. The way she talked she was obviously a doctor. Have you read the threads that deal with the ships?

If this were the movies, Morpheus would be on the Neb. But he's not. So let's just keep it the way it is, k? It's interesting to me that so much thought was put into the Mjolnir's name, which is not heard once in in the movies or the game or the animatrix, and only online and in the ETM booklet. I'd never heard of the Mjolnir until I came here, yet I've been wondering for a bit why the Caduceus is the only ship.
I'm not saying there's anyting particularly wrong with the way things are now. If this were the movies, the mods would be Deux Ex, the Architect, and the Oracle. But there are places where we should strive for accuracy, like the ships. Why not make the Mjolnir the Hammer, if it doesn't matter? Judging from the movies, like I said, the ship's name is the Hammer. I know it's technically the Mjolnir, but why choose an obscure name that barely anybody knows, for the sake of accuracy, and then turn around and only have one ship with a med bay when there are at least two?(Possibly more; I'm not sure) Jesus, can't you leave it well alone? I said this wasn't the movies. I didn't even say it could be like the movies. I said the staff with two snakes curling up it with wings at the top, most commonly referred to as the Caduceus is the symbol for medicine. That's why the the Caduceus is the only ship with a medic, because that's life.
A consensus was reached that the name should be the Mjolnir and not the Hammer. You weren't in he Mod's Room while they were being discussed, and frankly, the majority ruled.
Again, I said this was NOT the movies, and until the ships fill up themselves, no new positions will be added. Thank you, there is no need for further discussion. Continuity also has to be figured in if we were to change the name of the Mjolnir to the Hammer. We would have to edit the profile of each member of the Mjolnir, which is tedious, but doable. However, there's already many threads and posts referring to the ship as the Mjolnir. We can't change those. I wasn't complaining about the Mjolnir. I didn't care about it; I was just using it as an example. I'm just saying that earlier on in this same thread somebody said the Caduceus was the only ship with a medbay, so it had the only medic, and that's all I was wondering about.
If, however, your guys' reason was the staff thing, I totally get it now why you have it be the only ship.
I wonder, though, this conversation aside, do any of the other ships have medbays? If they do I'm not suggesting we change them; it's just a thought.
Edit: I just found out on the UMC that there are 12 ships and not ten, though there are only ten that are like the Neb. There's one called the hunter, and a couple others, but I forget. i dont have alot of posts but as soon as i get to 100 i would like to be a crew member on the icarus i already got banned once for spamming so it might be awhile!

To the other Captains and crew who have not shown up in over a month, you will notice I have taken you off your assigned ships until such time you prove active once more. That way it is fair on your Captains and fellow crew.
