the homeless man

did anyone notice the homeless man when Neo, Trinity and Morpheus walk into the resturant where Merovingian is eating. It cuts to a small clip of two people walking a homeless man (or what seems to be) out of the room. Neo and this "homeless" man look at each other for a split second. Also, if you play the video game Enter The Matrix, it shows another homeless guy in a scene with Niobe when she is about to answer a phone. The crazy homeless man explains that Zion will be destroyed in 72 hours and nobody could stop it. And once again, if you watch the trailer at the end of the game (after beating it), its a trailer for Revolutions. The same homeless guy in the game is in the trailer for a second, he has a big smile on his face.

also , have you noticed that for the split second in which you see the homeless man , there's a very ominous musical stab in the soundtrack , i'm sure that was put in to signify his brief appearance in the film - it's too sharply abrupt to be meaningless . and it definately seems like he's being escorted away by the merovingian's henchmen .

theres homeless man evrywere-the subway scene in the 1st....in the oracles apartment house...in the oracle sceen in m2....check it out

yes , there were homeless men in the oracle's building near the elevator and in the subway . one of them was written into the plot so that agent smith would be able to find neo and thier big fight scene could occur . The guy i'm referring to seems to have a more pointed significance . homeless men in a subway being utilized clearly as a plot device for Smith is one thing , but a strange flash of a homeless man in the merovingian's incredibly posh restaurant accompanied by a suspiciously quick camera move and an unmistakably ominous embellishment in the soundtrack ........ this is somethingelse altogether .

Interesting. It was talked about the guy that Merovingian's goon was walking away in M2, how he turned to look back at Neo and friends. Interesting why they would have a homeless guy in a nice restaurant like that, how he could get past the maitre de (pardon the spelling, I think that's how it's spelled)

An older version of Neo ( there seemed to be a connection between the two)

Perhaps he lost his powers when the old matrix rebooted and integrated his programming into it, thereby making him no longer "the one" but merely a guy waiting around for the next (and hopefully final) "one."

That would be why he wasn't allowed to talk to Neo, either. No one would permit him to tell Neo which door he chose and the outcome of that choice (reboot), to give him incentive to choose another door.

But, Neo has his own reasons for choosing the door he did...

But I could be wrong...

There's also a conversation between a homeless man and Niobe in the game (he states she has 72 hours left). The same person is seen looking straight into the camera during the Revolutions trailer. He will have a significant role I think in the last movie.

Though, if he's the same as the person being led away in the restaurant is entirely unsure, and some people even say that it's definately not the same person.

I've seent his restaurant scene many times, and it definitely does NOT appear to be the homeless man that is in Enter the Matrix and Revolutions trailer...I like the idea that he is the previous "one", but i don't think he was in the merovingian's restaurant. It would make sense, because the homeless guy says "72 hours...that's how long zion lasted LAST TIME"...he knew it happened once already...how does he know that?
The Prophet

they look similar and it makes sense that neo would lok at him like that coz of the loop theory, he subconciously recognises him?

mabe his a spy for the french guy..he needs to get his info from somewhere and that tramp always follows neo around!!

oh n did anyone see the jap that protects the oracle in the new trailer..he looks well hard!!
but whats the oracles part in the rest of the story!!
i thought she was gone when she spoke of neo and the source being his final destination....crazy!
