Assisted Suicide

I'm doing a report/speech on this topic and I just wanted to know your feelings on the subject.

Is it morally "right" to help someone commit suicide if they are in the hospital very sick and in much pain, read this story and tell me what you would do http://www.assistedsuicide.org/typical_example.html


The fact of the matter is Assisted suicide is not currently illegal in most places, but in some it is because it can be tried as Manslaughter, In Great Britian it is illegal but the act itself of suicide is not

The word you are looking for is 'euthanasia'. I believe in it 100%. Of course, it's a difficult thing to make totally legal because of the grey areas that it can cover...

I do believe that it can be helpful and the right thing to do, but it does carry dangers. If it was made legal, what would stop someone who's rich next of kin happens to be on life support. They pull the plug, say it's euthanasia even though the guy on LS wants to stay alive, they get away with no punishment and all the dead guy's riches.
