Global Warming

NMN

I think this is the right section, but if not, my apologies.

I am doing my senior project on a problem in the world that I would like to see a change or at least an acknowledgment in its existence. I chose to do mine on the topic of Global Warming. I just wanted to see your views on it. Is the world doing enough from the Kyoto conferences to put a stop to it? Do you rhink it isd a natural phenomenon that occurs every once and a while? Do you think humans in the recent years have accelerated a slower process? Do you think its is inevitable?

If you want to learn more about conservation or just facts about it...

Silly people... This whole global warming thing is all part of George Dubuya's master plan - "Operation: Suffuffufucation." It begins with the immediate reinstate of CFCs into all aerosol cans and refrigerators. Trillions of tax dollars will then be spent in order to issue every single American their own SUV - That's right folks, everyone will get a chance to fight these terrorist SOBs! The logic behind the plan is that if we kill the environment (which, by the way, is a terrorist organization that's been hiding all around us this entire time... Who do you think was the mastermind behind the Space Shuttle Colombia disaster? That's right, the environment) we will inherently kill off every terrorist organization in the world. If the weather changes don't effect them, the lack of oxygen will surely kill off these terrorist bastards!

*AHEM* On a more serious note... I'm not up to par with my knowledge of global warming, but I'll give a shot at it. Global warming is a natural phenomenon, but us humans are no doubt speeding up the process. We seem to be good at screwing things up. Particularly in the past century, with all the innovations mankind has created, we have no doubt adversely affected the environment. CFC's were widely used several decades ago, a myriad of people in the world own automobiles, etc. The problem has been acknowledged, as seen with the outlawing of CFC's and the effort put forth by companies to create alternate sources of energy. It just hasn't been acknowledged enough. We have a lot to do if we're going to dig ourselves out of this hole.

Nice theme for a topic! I do believe myself that GW is gonna become problematic but as AlmightyOne pointed out, we're too busy killing each other at the moment, so who cares about nature  ? silly humans I'dd say. we're killing this planet slowly and when it's too late we'll all start panicing. Maybe a movie like uhm, what's the name 'the day after tomorrow'? will make people think about it? maybe we are that short-minded?

ex: let's do whatever we won't to the planet, in 80 years from now, we're shorly dead anyway. And then the next generation continues that trend. We need a changement of attitude I guess, and not only about nature!
