BB Tutorial

As you may have noticed, some buttons have been added to the Post section, with which you can easily add BB or VB coding to your posts. However, not all coding was written down, and therefor I took it upon myself, as ever friendly moderator, to display these codes. I only ask that if you were to rudely copy them and post them on another site, please mention my username. Although there are other tutorials around the Web, maybe even better ones, I did spend some of my valuable time on this, and credit where deserved is appreciated.

The legendary World of VB coding:

If you use coding, I suggest you do it in CAPITALS. This avoids problems, and it is handy if you would ever switch over to HTML coding, or other languages.

Coding is formed by Tag's. You have a closing tag, and an opening tag. If I was to color my post pink, a simple

will not suffice. Untill I add a , my post will not show as pink, but will rather display the coding. The ending tag differs from the beginning tag by having a /, and the lack of a value. In the color, pink is the value, and it is not neccesary to put it in the closing tag.

You can also see that I have put everything in a code tag. This too is done with both a opening and closing tag.

Thanks BSD. I had quite a problem first, since I usually you use code tags. That had a low priority in this board though, so I had to switch ti php tags. I'm happy with the result though :).

If anyone sees an error, or wants to add something, feel free to edit my post, or pm me about it.

I have tried enabling the VB CODE specifically for 'imaging' on the Admin user CP but attempts have seen to fail.

When tested, it works and came up with the image, but when trialed on the site it didn't register... still trying to pin point the problem, but hopefully it will soon be fixed :)
