Jester What do you think about Bush? I know almost everyone hate him, but i like the guy.(Not like that, I`m NOT gay) From 1-10 i would give him 9... You? Valasher I'm not crazy about his effect on the American economy, since I can't find a decent job here, but nobody's perfect so I give him a 3 for being a human being... a cowboy if you will. Horatio Personally, I hate him. I think all he wants to do is beat his dad by killing more Iraqi's. He is too trigger happy, and doesn't listen to anyone Jester My opininon is not based on econonmy and stuff, I dont know much about USA`s economy... I think it was the only right thing to attack Iraq, Saddam sucked. smith_fan Saddam sucked, yeah I agree. But I don't support this war though, actually I don't like Bush's or Powell's foreign policy. I mean, the picture of the USA in Europe and of course in a lot of the islamic countries isn't very positive and in my opinion, one of the reasons for that is US foreign policy (though it's not only Bush...;)). Attacking countries and justifying the war with WMD that were never found is just not right. HomoUniversalis I don't hate America. That said, since I don't want to turn this into a 'HU hates America"-thread, I hate Bush. I'm not sure whether Clinton was lucky by having a positive effect on the economy, and Bush is just being unlucky, the truth is that the war is not good for American business. Not good at all. Many things have been said about the war in Iraq, and I have contributed quite a lot to it. The only thing I can advice people who haven't clicked the '1' and than vote, is to go to the link in my signature, and read the article. It's very interesting. Mr U smith_fan Originally posted by HomoUniversalis I don't hate America. That said, since I don't want to turn this into a 'HU hates America"-thread, I hate Bush. HU, we all (should) know that you're not anti-american. I've read the thread you're referring to on MH but I'm tired of replying to that topic. But the letter was over the top in my opinion and you were completely right :) I'm not sure whether Clinton was lucky by having a positive effect on the economy, and Bush is just being unlucky, the truth is that the war is not good for American business. Not good at all. Mr U ^ agreed Helios Originally posted by HomoUniversalis I'm not sure whether Clinton was lucky by having a positive effect on the economy, and Bush is just being unlucky, the truth is that the war is not good for American business. Not good at all. Mr U Clinton wasnt lucky nor is Bush unlucky, Clinton actually tried to better the economy and he did, and he nearly got rid of the national debt that Bush has totally screwed up and now the debt is even more than it was before Clinton went into office Imo I think Clinton was a great Pres, where as Bush is one of the worst america has yet seen freeyourmind As I've said a few times, I don't know whether I think the wars in Iraq and in Afghanistan were justified or not. Until I do, I won't form an opinion on a government of the person heading it because of them. However, one thing that Bush had himself admitted he's done is lie to his people about the WMDs in Iraq. I don't think that saying not every leader is perfect excuses this. Even if it's true (which I don't know if it is), then maybe every leader should rate 1 out of 10, which is what I voted, but the fact is, you impeached Clinton for lying about his bleeding sex life! And now that Bush junior has lied about one of the most potentially dangerous wars to world peace everyone is saying yeah, you win some you lose some... I think that in most European countries, and definitely pre-9/11 America, the public would have been all over Bush. And now it's not only the public that doesn't care, the media also seems to busy praising the government to fully grasp what Bush has done to his people. He should be imprisoned, not act as president. And I agree Saddam was bad. Maybe fighting a war to destroy his regime was even justified. But Bush should have said that reason loud and clear to his people. But all of this stuff would only bother me as an American. Personally, I don't feel any anger or love for him either way. I just wouldn't want his managing my country... which is actually what he's very close to doing... Freddy Krueger ASSHOLE that guy should never of become president. no offence to the american users here. but you will all be very stupid if you re-elect him. that guy only whants one thing. WAR en to be the big badass leader of america freeyourmind BSD I disagree. I think the reason so many people here are anti-Bush strongly or at least post a lot of anti-Bush sentiments is because Bush is a matter for discussion. If someone posted a thread titled "Saddam is a Murderous Killer" nobody would reply because there's nothing to talk about. It is generally accepted that he is a bad guy. There are very few people on this site who would actually support him. With Bush the situation is different. 1) because there are those that do condone what Bush has done (not saying you do). This post for instance enables you to put a rating of 1-10. The poster is even a supporter. If a poll was posted on Saddam than almost every vote (at least if done seriously) would be 1. 2)because Bush is the democratic leader of the biggest and most famous democracy in the world. A possibly bloodthirsty democratic leader is a much more interesting matter for discussion, especially since people can do more about it... If the leader of Holland or France or Russia had done what Bush is doing I think the response would have been the same. I would like to reitterate that I'm not a Bush hater. I just think that if I was American I would be pissed off and rightfully so. freeyourmind Hmm, I agree with you that the anger at Bush may be more emotionally motivated much of the time. This could probably be explained by Bush ignoring what the European countries had to say and his invasion of other countries - this involves the members of this site more than Saddam's actions have ever involved them - but since they are taking their anger at him for different reasons then I agree it is misplaced. Your main argument is that Bush is disdained more than Saddam. This I am not so sure is true. Yes, when a thread is started on Saddam and the members veer off topic to Bush then they are doing wrong by veering off topic, but I don't think they necessarily think Bush is worse. Rather are more angered by him which makes the topic closer to their heart. In this case I would say that they should not have posted at all, but I don't think that the fact that they did means that they are of the opinion Bush is worse. The comments on Bush being emotional rather than informative is again a matter of wrong way of expression on these boards, but again, I don't think this proves how people view Bush in contrast to Saddam. It is my firm opinion that if you posted a poll asking who's worse: Bush or Saddam than Saddam would win the great majority. If you don't believe me feel free to post. It might be interesting for you. Personally I don't really care that much... I just need to argue about something :p About being anti-American, I don't see the connection and I think you should think very carefully before making such an allegation. There do exist people that are anti-American on this site, but I know quite a few that are strongly anti-Bush but have no problem with America. Most intelligent people, and we have a few of those here, know it's absurd to generalise a whole country of hundreds of millions as being good or bad. And a lot of time the term "America" is used when it's only supposed to mean the government. We have a similar thing here in Israel. A lot of time the term "Arabs" is used to describe out neighbouring enemy Arab countries but can be misinterpreted as a generalisation of Arabs all over the world. DPD Where's that bitch Malak at, I know he'll give Bush a 10. I give most Bush a 10, but not the one that runs this country. Sweety JOHN KERRY WIN OVER BUSH!!! Ou Be Low hoo Originally posted by DPD I give most Bush a 10, but not the one that runs this country. YOU TALKIN BOUT MA MAMA!?!?! I'd give Bush 1- (NOT like that, I'm NOT gay) - to quote the first post. I think he's a fool. Why exactly did he and Cheney talk to the 9/11 committee together...why did they NOT take an oath to tell the truth...and WHY, after doing this, did he then say that they answered all of the questions asked of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if that actually means something and holds any weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AlmightyOne bush is getting to old and cant think right. it is time for him to hit the curb. smith1 like people say "like father, like son." i personally hate Bush becasue he has ruined the economy, and it all started with Bush senior. Now i have nothing against hard working imigrents(probablly spelled wrong) but half of them are here illegally and they are taking jobs from the americans who were born and raised here and then those that dont do the right thing and send the money they make back to their home land to help their families, they go out and buy flashy cars because not being a citizen of the United States tey dont have to pay taxes.. and the end of my opinion is that if Bush gets reellected i am moving out of the country NeoLivesOn Now I'm not for war or violence but more than likely there are more things going on here then what we know. I'm sure that G. Bush has reason to believe we need to have a "war". I mean I honestly don't think he would just send our troops over there because there MIGHT be a terroristic threat. I saw there were 10 votes for #1. I believe that most of you who voted that are just going along with what TV programs and other media sources are saying. I think most people (not just people that voted here but all over the nation) just go with the opinion of other people. DPD You're assuming that everyone that voted in this poll watches news on TV, reads what the newspapers publish, listens to AM radio, etc., and/or believes some of what they hear. Wolf! NeoLivesOn I didn't say I thought everyone did I think most people (not just people that voted here but all over the nation) just go with the opinion of other people. AlmightyOne I agree with you NLO because I feel in todays world that most people follow what is being done. Whether you read the news paper or watch the news, what you know is what you do. So in that case its like follow the leader and if one person does something then another, and so on and so on. To make a long story short no matter how you see it or hear it if its being done and/or is the best thing orthers want or feel then you go with it as well. I can not vote yet as I am only 15 but if I could I personally wouldn't go with what others say because I would go with what I want. I do on the other hand know where you are coming from NLO and feel the same way. NeoLivesOn Thank you AO. I mean obviously what most people see on the news they believe. I know becuase I do. I just think that there is more going on here than what the media knows or is allowed to know and share. DPD You know...I started to type up a response to this but decided it just wasn't worth the time. Instead, HHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA Valasher Bush is a likeable guy, but not the greatest president. He's sociable among the people he sees fit to be, and his personality is cute. I did, however, notice that he can't give a speech worth a damn. While I was watching one of his stops on his tour/campain, I noticed that all the people in the audience were very bored, even yawning a lot. And the camera seemed to seek out the most bored among them. Not to mention that they all looked like they were from Texas, with Cowboy hats and too much makeup. It was amusing to say the least. Bush said a lot of "ums" and was talking himself in circles saying nothing at all. When pushed with important questions he or Cheney will say something about "lets smoke them out of their holes" or "those coward terrorists" or whatever will solve the question without answering it. The main reason I don't like him is because he doesn't give a damn about me or the situation I'm in. Giving tax cuts to the rich white mutherfuckers and leaving me without enough time or money or resources to afford even basic necessities to keep your sanity in this ADHD ridden promise land that is America. Put the money towards the poorest of us who would actually spend it. Stop sending our goddamn jobs oversees so that the average wage isn't enough to live on here in the U.S. I'm tired of not having money and not being able to find a decent job that pays enough for it to be worth paying more than rent to send my child to daycare. Fuck those old bastards who are in it for the oil while the world turns a blind eye. I don't care how bad Kerry fucks this country, it can't possibly compare to how bad Bush has done. Let's invest in alternative technologies than oil, so that we're not under the power of the Saudis anymore, enough is enough. Dr.Relief I believe in Bush, I believe he is a good man, one with high morals. He will do the right thing, and I am with him all of the way. Freddy Krueger bush should get shot in the head i realy hope your you americans he doesn't get to president again i don't like the other guy much too, but everyone is better then bush ! Valasher You're not really allowed to threaten the life of the president in any way or the Secret Service Agents will be all over your ass... HomoUniversalis Actually, since he doesn't live in the US, it's okay :D. Hehe, this reminds me of those two examples Moore showed, that club in which the feds infiltrated, and that man that got a bit too much FBI attention. Oh, and besides FK, they can't actually prove that you were the one posting that information, so you are safe :). Mr U freeyourmind What I don't get is why Bush is so hated by Europeans. I mean, I'd understand anger coming from Iraqis and Afghans and Arabs in general becuase of the relation to people who might have been hurt by the war, but just what causes Europeans to be so vehemently opposed to him and a lot of times to hate him so passionately? Until now I sort of assumed it was because Bush went to the war despite of Europe's objections and that it was a hurt ego causing all the anger, but that's a bit condescending when you think about it. What do you Europeans have to say for yourselves? Why is Bush hates so much in Europe while in Israel people are indifferent at best and at the US he still stands a substantial chance of re-election? And what's the general opinion of him in Australia or other non-European countries btw? Mr. Hacker Dude Well, i'm not European, so i don't know. But same reason we hate him. He not only lied to America, he lied to the entire world. freeyourmind Yeah, but he wasn't elected by the Europeans... Besides, the Americans don't seem to mind the fact that their administration freely lies to them. In my eyes, the fact that he lied means that he can't be trusted as president again, but the hate, and especially when coming from a party as completely uninvolved as Europe, befuddles me... Freddy Krueger Oh, and besides FK, they can't actually prove that you were the one posting that information, so you are safe :). Mr U lol even if they could so anything and know who i am. i am not afraid of them, let them come i'll take them all on :p smith_fan Yeah, but he wasn't elected by the Europeans... Besides, the Americans don't seem to mind the fact that their administration freely lies to them. In my eyes, the fact that he lied means that he can't be trusted as president again, but the hate, and especially when coming from a party as completely uninvolved as Europe, befuddles me... uninvolved? I've seen in the past 4 years that the decisions of the American president affect the whole world... This is the first time that the people here actually care about US Election and now guess why... :( freeyourmind I can understand how people can get interested in what's happening for moral reasons, but what I don't understand is all the hate I'm seeing attached to opinions by uninvolved parties (I'm not talking necessarily about people from this site. Just about a strangely large number of Europeans). I don't understand where all the emotion is coming from - as far as I understand it arises only in a person who is being hurt or affected. Bush's decisions have affected the entire world in that he's changed the middle-east, but I don't think you can say he has changed Europe... or can you? How has Bush made your life different? Are you worse off now than you were 4 years ago? AgentSmith_fan Oh this thing about Bush. I almost went into politics before and now I am definetly not into it. I just hate it alot but I do respect Bush alot. His morals and standards are good. But they could be better. Just be glad that we didn't get stuck with Kerry. He would have been worse off. I can understand how people can get interested in what's happening for moral reasons, but what I don't understand is all the hate I'm seeing attached to opinions by uninvolved parties (I'm not talking necessarily about people from this site. Well I don't really see how Europe has changed. Except in the way that some of them might not agree that it was good of him to send his troops into war against Saddam Hussein. That is how I believe that Europe might have been changed in a way. Well one way Bush has made my life different is that he has helped me understand that there is alot of jerks out there in the world that think they are right. So they stand up for their stupidness and they make fools of themselves by terriozing people and trying to kill them just for their sake of power and control. While other people in different countries are looking at that dictator wondering and thinking in their heads that this guy is mad and that he must be stopped. Also if a country goes through to much killing and blood shed. Somebody sooner or later has to step in to stop this crap. And that is the good thing that Bush did. Hey he saw the problem. The problem was that Saddam was treating his people really badly like cattle in a way. And he just did whatever with them for his power and control sake. So that is why Bush sent in his troops to capture this mad man. Which we eventually did and now that country is way better off. I mean they are going to be rebuilding the place. Getting new government people to help place new laws that will help the country become better. And there is alot of people in those countries that are praising and thanking Bush for coming there and helping there people out. Another way that Bush has helped me out is by that No Child Left Behind act. No child is left behind and the education is slowly but surely is becoming better in Hawaii. Also I noticed that the teachers are paying alot more attention to students needs and make even better classes to help students out. And this would have never come to past if this act wasn't past. Yesterday I heard my teachers throw a celebration party just because of this act. Since so many students in school are finally getting attention for their special needs. More so then they used to and that is the best part about this act. Another reason is the tax stuff. People here in Hawaii are alot happier. And stuff is not as much as it used to be. And our economy is not falling as fast as it used to be. Even the governor of Hawaii said that on the news not to long ago. She said just because of this tax break Hawaii is better off in its economics and tourism. And I can surely see that because there is alot more happy tourist and alot more customers then there used to be. Plus one reason why I love Bush so much is not only by the laws and acts that he wants to make to help America out. It is by the heart and faith that this man has. This heart that he used to help America through war, through taxes, through childrens educations, and soon it will be through religion, and much much more than that. So these are just some of the reasons why Bush is such a great president. Because he thinks first for the people then he decides which is best and then he does it for the people. And it has worked mighty fine. Archangel_565 As an American, I despise George W. and everything that he does. Sadly, the "majority" of the voters decided to vote for four more years of tyranny and destruction because of their fear of homosexuality.
