Jester Hi. Neo is the 6. anomoly, right? Neo_Xavier says that he is the 7. one.... So come on, vote and show him that i am the one who beats him... smith1 i do believe that neo is the 6th "one" because i do believe the archictect said that "this will be the 6th time we have distroyed zion and we are getting very good at it." Jester Yes, smith1 neo is the 6. one... I won! Monolith lost! Freddy Krueger oh yeah damn made a mistake after watching the bonus stuff on the revolutions dvd. i saw that neo wha the 6th one Anomolous I always believed that Neo was the 6th anomaly running in the 7th cycle of the Matrix. tHe aRcHeItEcT Yeh he is no. 6 like I said in reloaded, I dont know why Monolth would say he is no. 7..... ......... smith1 where do you get the 7th cycle of the matrix. AlmightyOne Originally posted by smith1 i do believe that neo is the 6th "one" because i do believe the archictect said that "this will be the 6th time we have distroyed zion and we are getting very good at it." agree. he is the 6th Anomolous I think Smith1 was asking me about my "7th cycle" comment........ At the time we are brought into the story, the Matrix had run 7 times producing 6 anomalies. The very first Matrix was the perfect version that crashed and failed miserably. There were no systemic anomalies like Neo in this first version. Only after the Matrix was redesigned did mathematical anomalies arise. Neo was the sixth anomaly in the seventh cycle. Agent_Johnson whoever thinks that Neo is the 7th one is a complete moron.(sorry but you are) Lord Kante That, or they like to have their own opinions. deadcowdying Originally posted by Anomolous I think Smith1 was asking me about my "7th cycle" comment........ Neo was the sixth anomaly in the seventh cycle. ive read Terikan's post which explaining the matrix and it says that the version which crashed is the first two...i dunno. Spyder3264 There were probably multiple beta versions of the Matrix and there simply isn't enough information from the movies to verify exactly how many versions there were...but as far as the machines nifty brainwashing scheme to lead the people of Zion into thinking the One will save them, there were five complete revolutions, and then Neo came in as the sixth and created peace among the machines and men Anomolous Originally posted by deadcowdying ive read Terikan's post which explaining the matrix and it says that the version which crashed is the first two...i dunno. Check out my post in the "Matrix Theories" portion of the forum, "The Matrix Explained 2.0". Terikan bases his theory on the words of the Architect, ".....but I was AGAIN frustrated by failure". If you listen to this portion of the Architect's speech, it is clear that there was the first Matrix and then the redesigned Matrix that produced six anomalies. I state in my post, "At the time we are brought into the story, the Matrix had cycled seven times producing six anomalies." Well, there is nothing that indicates that the Matrix re-boots, reconfigures, restarts, etc. So, it may be inaccurate to say that there were "versions" of the Matrix. The Architect says, "I prefer to count between the rise of one integral anomaly to the next". So, it just depends on how you want to perceive it: Seven matrix cycles with six anomalies or two version of the Matrix with the second's redesign producing six anomalous codes, etc. There is enough information in the films if analyzed carefully. Valasher I always wondered if the first two versions didn't work because of the Architect's design, not because of an anomaly. But since the Architect says that he's the sixth version, he's either lying (which machines and programs don't do) or telling the truth, we can assume that his design has always been flawed, even in the first two anomalies were produced. Spyder3264 The anomaly only manifested when the Oracle discovered that 99% would accept the program if they had the option to choose....that lack of 1% is what caused the left over remaining data that was referred to as the anomaly...I think a lot of people here have interesting theories...but no data to give it reason...I really don't know what some of you are talking about. Seven cycles? We simply weren't given that much info. Seven cycles? We simply weren't given that much info. I disagree. The Architect talks about his first design that was a failure. This corollates to the speech Smith gave Morpheus in the first film about the first version of the Matrix, so we know that there was a previous version. In Reloaded we begin to learn more about the Oracle. We learn that she is a program from the machine world created to research and learn about varying aspects of the human psyche. Essentially, she was created to help the Architect solve his design problems. Ironically, the Machines and the Architect thought they were perfect. They felt they had to "lower" themselves to be able to design a Matrix program that would work. Instead, we see that not even Machines and Programs are perfect. Unpredictablity is still prevalent in their worlds, just in different ways. It is this "X" factor or "Why" factor, as I like to call it, that is inherent in every aspect of existence. This is what the Machines can not control. This is the very essence of the anomalies. Now, the Architect tells Neo about his first attempt to design the Matrix which failed. He then goes on to state that he redesigned it, "but I was AGAIN frustrated by failure". Then he begins to talk about the Oracle. You noticed how he doesn't like the term Oracle? This is where one can infer that the Oracle and the Architect redesigned the Matrix together using the information the Oracle had gathered about a human being's free will that facilitates the concept of choice. Hence, a second "version" of the Matrix, or the "first Matrix that worked", if you will. Choose whatever words you want but choose them carefully. In a story like this, syntax changes everything. Anyway, I have said seven "cycles" in the past and I have since found this to be inaccurate. Cycles implies that the Matrix restarts, reboots, reconfigures, etc. But the Architect says that he likes to measure time by counting from the rise of one integral anomaly to the next which implies that the Matrix does not "cycle", but the anomaly does. After it is disseminated, it is a matter of time before it "adds" up again, as the Architect says the anomaly is "the SUM of the remainder of an unbalanced equation". I feel there is a lot of information. It is scattered or DISSEMINATED, if you will allow my pun, throughout each of the films. I feel there is enough information to draw conclusions that fall just short of sitting down with the Wachowski Brothers and having them tell all. mat it is the 7th matrix, and neo is no 6. the architect said and so did morpheus in M1 that the first matrix was designed nothing like the real world, it was sorta like a heaven but it failed cuz society wouldnt accepts it, the first matrix failed way b4 the anomoly of neo had time to be born Lotus Jet Of cousre he is the 6th anomoly. The architect says he is, right? Toa of Code What!?!?!?!?! That means that I'm wrong! I kept saying that I was the 8th. It must mean that I'm the 7th! I AM PHOENIX! HEAR ME TYPE!!!
