I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on color blindness in the matrix?
Those that are color blind, perceive colors in different ways. I for instance can't tell the difference between burnt-orange or forrest green.
I think their brains translate the matrix code differently.
Any ideas?
possibly,
or that the matrix is telling that person that certain colours are different colours, just to make the world seem more real and make humans beleive it is real.
wait, was there any reference to color-blindness in the matrix, or is this a purely hypothetical situation? just wondering, cool idea though.
Just something that I was thinking about. I guess it's a theory akin to Mouse's idea of "How did the machines know what Tastey Wheat tasted like?"
Well how do the machines know what red is. Or what blue is, or what green or brown or magenta is? We all perceive things differently.
for all we know, we could be seeing completely different colors than each other and we'll never know because it's been like that all our lives. when a mother points to the sky and says "that is blue," the child might not be seeing the same color the mother is, but since the mother is telling the child whatever he sees is blue, that is what he perceives as blue for the rest of his life. get what i'm sayin?
Maybe a system failure? That happens all the time: Twins etc.
yes like mouse said. how can the machine's know how something taste or looks.
for all we know something that is the colour red (in the matrix) is shown blue
This is the reason the Oracle was created, to investigate human sense. This is just a theory and the whole thing can be found in "The Matrix Explained 1.0" (or something like that...) in the Matrix Revolutions forum.
BTW, the correct spelling is Tastee Wheat, you can see it on a billboard in M3 when Morph, Trin, and Seraph are chasing the trainman.
