Oscar Nominations

In what categories do you think that Reloaded/Revolutions will get nominated if any?
I think that Reloaded should win for Visual Effects, Sound, and Sound Editing... or atleast get nominated. I doubt Revolutions will get nominated for anything considering it wasn't very well accepted by the general public, but let's make use of our quintessential delusion and hope for the best.
Also, releasing both films in the same year sort of puts them against each other. Kind of screwed themselves there. Where as if they'd held Revolutions back just a few more months it would be eligable for the Oscars in 2005, if I'm not mistaken. That's probably why the LOTR movies were released separately, one each year.

Neither Reloaded nor Revolutions get a nomination for this year's oscar nomination... shame on the academy!

I think it was becasue the movies were too controverisal. The academy doent give awards out to films that might cause dispite, even though micheal moore won one for bowling for columbine.
The fact that the "matrix trilogies" are mostly based on religion, this could be apart of the reason, don't quote me on this, Its what i read in one of those "who weekly" magazines.
Also the WB knows how successful the trilogy was, They know they did EXCELLENT work on it, and it turned out fantastic, this is shown by it popularity, merchandise ect. I am sure they dont need an award/oscar for them to know that this was a beautifully made trilogy.
They must be happy within themselves.

i tihnk just so many people didnt really understand the movie, it didnt touch most like it has touched some of the people of this forum, its a shame it really is
matrix trilogy is one my my favorite movies and i can never get enough of the matrix universe, but oh well i dont care anymroe if everyone else in america likes it, i did n thats all that really matters

I think reloaded should win for special effects, I mean just look at the burly brawl it was fantastic the filming and the GCI was just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

And as for reveloutions trinity should win something because they always give awards to acting that can make you feel sad, and she made me cry when she died

I think it's pretty obvious that the Matrix 2 and 3 should be nominated for an Oscar for best visual/special effects. Hell, they should win. Just think about how superior the burly and super brawls were in comparision to most fight scenes in other movies. The CG team did an excellednt job contructing the mechanics of the crew ships and the sentinals. If the Matrix gets snubbed, the Oscars are bogus and don't mean sh*t.

Keanu will def. be nominated for something. if not for the matrix trilogy, then maybe for somethings gotta give. that was a good movie too.

well actually in to me in M2, the burly brawl effects werent that good. when you watch it in some scenes, you can really tell thats its all computer. yes keanu and hugo do act there but some scenes look really fake. other than that they should win an award. i think M3 should win a graphics and special effects award. they were awesome!!

i think that JOHNNY DEPP shud get the best actor award...he has been nominated YAY who else thought that he was really good in pirates of the caribbean and deserves an oscar 4 it????
